Dec 3rd 2012 9:28PM If "they" had more equal rights than you have, you wouldn't have to say it. And how can someone have MORE equal rights...they are either equal or they are not. And the race card seems to be brought up during election times usually by conservatives who can't get over the fact that there is an African American ruling in the White House.

The many "Food Stamp President" remarks by Gingrich...the Birther allogations by Trump and Orly Taitz (implying that Obama is not one of us) was always meant to garner votes from that malformed segment of the Republican Party that thinks of nothing else but race.

And isn't it amazing how GW Bush (yes, it wasn't Obama in office) sank the economy; caused 500 jobs a month lost, IRAs being depleted, and Bin Laden living a life of ease in Pakistan after he caused the murder of not just 4 Americans but over 3,000....and the guy who is being blamed for "destroying" America is the guy Bush dumped all that on?

Only in America.

When Obama became POTUS, Republican voters litterally LOST their minds. They couldn't believe it then, and they STILL don't believe it now. They look into the mirror and say to themselves, "How could this happen in my White America?" They say that if we call him an imposter, or say he has no birth certificate, maybe the reality of this situation will make us feel better....it hasn't.

The only thing that will drag conservatives into the 21st century is care and concern...so that they don't hurt themselves. I believe with real therapy and medication they will rejoin the family of mankind. Even Jesus had hope for the insane.

Dec 3rd 2012 8:43PM I find it interesting how conservatives like you rail against failures to protect the Benghazi embassy when at the same time the Republicans (in efforts to block the Obama Administration) denied funding for additional security both in 2010 and again in 2011. Blocking the Embassy funding was an excellent idea until tragedy happened.

When a Republican congressman (Jason Chaffetz) was asked by Soledad O'Brien of CNN if the Republican House they blocked that funding, the Republican Congressman said boldly, "Absolutely...someone had to make the tough decision on spending." Well, that was a decision that was doomed to end the wrong way...just like so many other Republican decisions.

You would prefer to listen to backward thinking commentaries from FOX News, Rush Limbaugh and that unsavory bunch of Birthers that feel that America is for rich old white guys who dream of an America that isn't, and never was.

Feb 13th 2011 12:34PM DR8RZ, I would not presume to know God personally, but let me add one comment to your statement about what a person will believe in after death; I believe that there are people on earth who had better hope that there is no God...because he may have a problem with the people who say that 30,000,000 people should not have health care and that the unemployed in this country should get a back sit to allow trillions for the rich. Infact, I wonder what Jesus would say if he were asked, " Shall we provide health care for the multitude....or, give trillions to the rich?"

Feb 13th 2011 12:22PM Torrence, the belief in evolution is a scientific belief. It is science that made us travel into space and touch the moon. It is science that brought forth the many discoveries that mankind now enjoys. There is nothing wrong with believing in Biblical matters, but there is nothing wrong with science either. The reason we have the theory of evolution is because man has studied the theory and developed it...just like he has developed all other concepts of life. The theory of evolution didn't just happen, a multitude of scientists throughout the ages have built on the theory with notes and study. Right now, America falls dangerously behind many other civilized countries in math and science. This is no time to "indirectly" turn the youth away from the theories of evolution, global warming, or any other science that man used his knowledg and brain power to discover.

But it's okay...you keep listening to people like O'Reilly and Limbaugh and Palin, maybe someday they'll ask you to make that final sacrifice and drink the koolaid. And years from now, when you and I have bit the dusk, Obama will still be remembered as one of the best president's that have been created out of this country. Sorry, don't think O'Reilly will be remembered, except as a comic relief in some old conservative magazine in some old fool's attic.

The same with Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin, intelligent people attack and mock them because they deserve it. The people who are their audience are generally conservatives who believe the hype that they spew. And as these conservative talkers are mocked, their pockets increase in dough...this is good. Because as long as it's not "my" dough they take from, happy days.

Feb 13th 2011 11:49AM Ms Wallace, it is arrogant to say that because you are conservative, you are the only ones that believe in God. There are churches all over this country which are not separated by a political party. Because I believe in God,I believe that God would want all humanity to have health care, and to be protected by their governments when the need arises. And I also believe that for a people that started in this country as slaves, that God would be most happy to finally see one of them make it as the first Black President. I would never say that all those with a different opinion must surely believe in the devil.
