Banks cut overdraft fees in attempt to halt new regulation {Daily Finance}

Sep 24th 2009 11:33AM My bank Wachovia last month overcharged my account three overdraft fees totaling 105.00, BEFORE my account was actually overdraft, it was in a positive for 19.00. I emailed the bank and asked them if they were retarded. No wonder the banks are failing, who the hell is doing the accounting?! I told them to promptly return my funds, the idiots returned part of the funds, everytime they've done this, it has caused my account to go in to tailspend. I have had my car note bounce because of this, leaving me to explain to the finance company, that I will pay promptly using Western Union. I am working overtime to increase a buffer amount in my account and will be switching to another bank ASAP. Banks are crooks. I've found one recommended by Walletpop, that charges a yearly fee of 19.00 and no overdraft fees.

Teen Commits Suicide -- Is Sexting to Blame? {Lemondrop}

Mar 10th 2009 7:15AM I will have to say that it's sad that women and girls who have so much going for themselves put themselves in such difficult situations. Why are these young people sending nude pictures of themselves via the phone or submitting this kind of information online. Are they really that insecure that they humiliate themselves without considering the consequences. Parents need to sit down with their children and stress the severe repercussions of disclosing personal and intimate information to anyone. Stress to young girls that it isn't necessary to demean yourself by exposing your body to get and maintain the attention of anyone. If a male significant other asks you do it, Say NO. There are a lot of creepy people out here, and exposing yourself physically or personal information is a definite security risk. Everyone Needs To Play It Save Not Stupid. The schools should start holding mandatory safety inservices in schools regarding the safety in using the internet, cell phones and other electronic devices and have the parents participate.

The $5 Million Over-the-Shoulder-Boulder-Holder {Lemondrop}

Oct 30th 2008 11:52AM I definitely agree with you and Krazy 8, it is a extremely ridiculous especially since people are loosing their homes, investments and having to live off of their savings. And, it would make more sense than not, for Victoria's Secret to donate a percentage of every sale, to the Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The American people should only support, companies that support them and invest in this country. IT's Time For Us To Stop Throwing Our Money Away. Just like when you buy stock you either reinvest the dividend , or use the money. The same should be with how we make our purchases? We, now should ask ourselves 1.) Does this company invest in causes that serves the public that buys it products, or does it pocket the money and say the hell with your well being , I'm rich 2) When I purchase this product are the workers those who live in this country and pay taxes or am I supporting jobs overseas? If any of these questions are answered with a no then, you should not support a product that does not support the well being of the American consumer with creating and maintaining a workforce in America.

Cross Nursing - Natural extension or disgusting and weird? {ParentDish}

Jul 29th 2008 11:39AM I am a Pediatric Nurse, the drawbacks exist are those listed in the article. The person who breast feeds an infant, not only is intimately bonding with that child, but everything that that person eats, drinks, medications, drugs, alcohol that the injests will, be fed to the baby via the breast milk. It is not a good idea, and bascially not safe. And one should also consider, illnesses that may not be evident, but that can be passed on via body fluids.

Colbert vs. Branson {AOL Video Blog}

Aug 23rd 2007 9:05PM They were both good sports about tossing the water. So, it's not acceptable per the stiff upper lip of etiquette, but since they both maintained a good level of humor and sportsmanship, I found it rather funny. Now, if Rosie O'Donnell had been on the show instead, I'm sure all hell would have broken loose.

Crocs are a Crock {Blackvoices Main}

Jul 26th 2007 11:34PM Well, Crocs the shoes that have seem to become a fad, actually became extremely popular, after there comfort had been discovered amongst those of us in the medical field, and in the kitchens of resturants. Duly, because of being on our feet for a minimum of 12 plus hours at a time. Although, their popularity is now dying with us, due to other issues with the shoes. Since, we require more comfort and support,although the colors can be cute with uniforms. As far as people wearing them as shoes, on the reqular, I would NEVER wear them outside of the hospital!

Is Michael Vick Controversy Driven by Race? This Blogger Thinks Not {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Jul 18th 2007 10:29AM Race aside, this man has perpetuated inhumane treatment of animals, why on earth does this man think he is entitled in any way shape or form to engage in this type of conduct. It's deplorable and inexcusable, Black, White, Yellow, Red or Green. He should be fired and banned from football. If he doesn't know what to do with the good fortune that the Lord has blessed him with, then let him be without.

Hell Has Frozen Over With Flying Monkeys {The Cooler}

May 26th 2007 9:05AM I haven't watched The View since Starr and Meredith left, after Rosie entered the picture, the show established a whole new low. It is now known as thw show of the not so bright, not funny, extreme right and extreme left bitches. It's sad because before this, they had a good balance of style, intelligence, and even a little bit of humor, and now the show is just pathetic. I've honestly been waiting for them to cancel the entire thing, give us all a break from hearing about their nonsense.

An A for Effort but an F for Timing in Oprah Town Hall {Blackvoices Main}

Apr 18th 2007 2:31PM I am tired of men, especially Black lambasting Oprah for everything she does or doesn't do. Bottom, the woman here and now is a living legend Period. When, she passes, she will leave behind an astonishing legacy, full of accomplishments, that for some people or a slew of us that we have only fathomed in our lifetimes. This woman has a Master's Degree, she grew up poor, without a silver spoon in her mouth, to shatter glass ceilings and become one of the most powerful and wealthest women in the world. Trust me that is an accomplishment beyond accomplishments. Before, absolutely anyone of us criticizes this woman and what we think she should do. We, each one of us needs to ask ourselves, "What am I doing for my community, my people?", and if we can answer that question to a level of commonsense satisfaction, then just maybe we have the time to analyze, what we think other's who have accompolished a multitude of goals for themselve and others should do.
