Jim Brown Says He Will Not Attend Browns' Ring of Honor Ceremony {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Aug 31st 2010 1:42PM Wealthy? Are ya kidding me? Jim Brown played for $10,000 a year back in the 60s.

The players from that era were nowhere near "wealthy". If he is, it's because of the Hollywood stuff he's done since.

Chris Simms Arrested for Driving Under Influence of Marijuana {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Jul 1st 2010 5:05PM That may be the DUMBEST thing I've ever heard in my life.

I can't think of one private sector job with that those type of employment standards. If they did, very few people would have a job in this country.

It's nobody's business what guys do when they're not playing.

J Brave Raps About His Tesla, Tesla's Stock Promptly Soars {Switched}

Jul 1st 2010 4:54PM You do know that

A: Mansions and cars can be powered with alternative energy sources.

B: Not all celebrities have mansions, private planes, or fleets of cars.

Hell, I'd argue MOST people you see on TV can't even afford to live like that.

Miley Who? Taylor Momsen Is the Teen Star We Should Be Worried About {PopEater}

Jun 26th 2010 1:30PM Um, there is a difference between being an icon for 8 year olds and being on a show for young adults. You cant really be stupid enough to NOT know the difference.

That's like saying there's not a different standard for Mr. Rogers and the guy that played Tony Soprano. Of course there is and there should be.

You wanna get rich pandering to 5 year old girls?

Take the responsibility for it or shut up.

Stephen Colbert Speaks of the Evils of the World Cup {Fanhouse Backporch}

Jun 13th 2010 9:44PM Um, that's not true.

If that was true, we wouldn't dominate the Winter and Summer Olympics most times out. Most sports weren't invented by Americans and yet we play those.

And padded rugby?

Please, rugby and soccer players aren't big enough to wrestle with the behemoths of the NFL. There aren't enough 300 and 400 lb people in the rest of the world to compete with our super athletic giants. And yes we do call our champs the World Champions. You know why?

We find the best players in basketball, baseball, and American football and pay them to come over here, so the best players in the world usually play in America regardless. Soccer's the only sport that that isn't true about and that's just because we don't care about soccer enough to steal the Cristian Ronaldos and Lionel Messi's from the rest of you.

We could in a heartbeat, just like we stole Wayne Gretzky, Dirk Nowitzki, Ichiro Suzuki, and a ton of other great athletes from the rest of the world. Just be lucky we don't like soccer, because if we did, you'd never get to watch them because they'd be playing here for REAL money.

ESPN-Gate -- Hannah Storm's Boots Send Male Sportscaster Walking {Lemondrop}

Feb 24th 2010 2:22PM Kornheiser and his college Michael Wilbon make fun of each other's appearances all of the time. That's part of the schtick. If women want to be "treated like equals", they have to learn how to take it also. To Hannah Storm's cred, I don't think that she is the one behind the "outrage". I think it is probably the "Big Disney(ESPN)" and some emasculated male, who's afraid that a "controversy" would come outta this.

But I am disappointed in Michael Wilbon and all of Kornheiser's male colleagues for not taking a stand and showing support for their friend and co-worker.

Where does political correctness stop and common sense begin?

ESPN anchors have always teased each other like brothers and sisters and now they have to watch their mouths?

Kornheiser wasn't "policing" Storm, he was just messin with her, just like a older brother or friend would do and ESPN overreacted.

Just one more reason that I don't watch "The Big Disney" very much anymore.
