Sep 29th 2010 2:36PM Well it depends on the person I suppose. and of course it's always going to be relative to the person/s who are in the situation.
Personally, some of the most brilliant minds I have met in life were hookers... (Don't shoot me yet) They just found themselves in situations where they could not afford to get where they wanted to be, but were hell bent on getting there by any means neccessary.
All prostitutes are not drug addicted dummies, trust me. Some are actually smart enough to know, that in a world where women who don't have money or education, can't get very far, they also know that the skin trade is always going to be there, and although dangerous, it is profitable.
They figure as I said above, they aim to get where they want to be in life on way or another, and higher education is costly.
I know some of you can say... get a regular job, work your way through it.. get married.. have a husband..a sugar daddy.. etc etc.. (lol) But women don't always have it as easy as men..they just don't.
Some women fall into really bad situations early in life, all hookers have a story.. you should listen to one sometime before you throw stones. Some have no parental guidance and find guidance in the wrong form.. such as a man who makes them feel wanted and needed..and cherished, and will do anything they have to do, to get that feeling of love, even if it's skewed. (Remember that Daddies out there)
Some women don't give a rip about themselves on a personal level and just do what they do to get by.
Some women are drug addicted, or addicted to something, be it that, sex, pain, degradement.. etc but trust me when I say... there are some brilliant minds out there on the corner, in bars. in hotels, who could run rings around any CEO in any company, with a business mind which is working toward a future that looks alot brighter than they might have at the moment.
Hookers are also street smart, and have a knack for human emotion, and how it works. They are often empathetic/symathetic to how their clients feel, and what they need. They are listeners quite often, who just happen to get paid outside of the usual paradigm or structure which society thinks is acceptable. They are healers of mens ego and self esteem. ( laugh if you want to, but it's true)
Street smartness is imparative in the school system, and in life itself, I would much rather my children be taught by someone who could hear and see when the wool was being pulled over their eyes... and every trick they try to pull, has already been pulled.. if that makes sense.
I am a nurse, and a foster parent, of upper age children 12 and over.. who have had a hard life. through the years. each and every single one of them has finished school successfully, and has gone onto, a rich and fullfilling life, with good jobs each. I also have a long and continuous relationship with all said children. I have a long successful history in a pediatric setting (over 20 years)
My point being I was truly blessed.
I did not have parental supervision, nor did I have an active father in my life, Yes I was also a prostitute, for many years from the age of 13 to my early 20's.. I managed to go to school, finish early and go to an ivy league University. and gain my masters in fine arts. then went onto nursing.
There are many of us out there.. mingling around with the people who love us and either don't know, or do and don't care. But my point once again (without stabbing you with it) is we are able to be regular people who contribute to the masses without corrupting it, we leave our past in the past. We don't look at children as sexual subjects.. especially since we were one ourselves.
I hope you think about that side of the coin.

ha that made me laugh.. i don't live there.. I used to live in Reno.. so I do know the difference between local people and tourists in Gaming cities. Without the locals there would be no City people.. It is a hard job to work in casinos.. smile every say til your face hurts. with demanding and rude tourists.. who forget the workers quite often live off of tips. not the paycheck..even though we do love our job. it isn't an easy one.
We are all people with the same emotions..feelings.. and bills on both sides of the coin.

Mstmi01, I also agree he was/is a very talented individual who seems to have gotten lost somewhere along the way.
I am not.. in any way condoning his actions.. I do not belive in animal abuse of any kind.. I can somewhat agree with hunting for the purpose of feeding families.. not as a sport.
And no I am not a PETA member.. nor am I a complete vetarian.
I do believe every one should be accountable for their actions.

It really makes me sad to think that someone in the food industry would jeopardize their guests by soiling their food..
Any job.. no matter what it is.. takes pride.. and effort..it should never include revenge... That is really immature behavior.. and it takes a mature person to work in customer service.
There are jerks in every enviornment.. and you are not helping the industry with that type of action.... and making a mockery of everyone who has pride in their job.
When a few act out in this way.. it makes all look bad.. why would you do that.
Do you even know what's going on in the lives of the people you serve? or are you assuming they are cheap, mean and thoughtless 100% of the time.. Has it ever occured to you that.. they might be just as broke as you claim to be? and the only pleasure they might have.. is to go out and eat.. just for you to laugh and snicker.. spit in their food.. and slander them .
Personally I would never not tip accordingly.. to the amount of the bill.. I am aware of how hard servers work.. You on the other hand seem to have causing havoc on your agenda.. more than you do really doing a good job in your ill chosen profession... because not everyone has extra money to throw at you..especially when it's obvious you don't care about your job or the people you serve.

People make stupid choices and expect celebrity to cut them a break.. yes.. but still what does.."rappers need to be taught a lesson" have to do with some chick maiming someone's face for life.
The punishment should fit the crime no matter who did it.. or how much money they have.,

(6. Your quiz is really stupid. You don't think there is something in between "Yes rappers need to be taught a lesson" and "No it's very unfair, it's just a bottle"? How about she should go to jail for hitting somebody with a bottle and it doesn't matter whether or not she's a rapper. She should be ashamed of herself. What was she high? Who goes around hitting people with bottles?
You almost can't say she should go to jail for what she did unless you say you hate rappers or discriminate against rappers. Get somebody else to make up the questions and answers for the quizzes because the person doing it now has a clear and ridiculous bias. )

I don't think I ever pretended to be a man to get out of a date before.. that was a first..lol I even had the idea after reading all of Y'alls posts.. to create a thread about the most horrid dates.. on a forum I moderate.. so thank you all for the inspiration... some smart and thoughtful people here.
