Charity Case -- Do I Come On Too Strong? {Lemondrop}
Apr 18th 2009 10:02AM I'd say be honest about liking her and such- but don't be overwhelming. Nothing pushes me away from a guy who starts being... over excited too soon. The way I see it, even after a few dates, yeah- you can like a person, but you haven't started to really KNOW that person yet... At least with me, when people start latching on very strongly, very quickly, I feel it isn't that they really like or love me- because they really don't know ME yet... but it feels like I'm really just interchangeable to them, and I could be any woman...

Nov 17th 2006 6:01PM Ok, like one of the other comenters said, I also lost a massive amount of weight, actually by eating more- and drinking only water. Went from 188 lbs for 5'5" to 150 lbs.
We're lucky to have a healthy metabolism. (Though I've been told it's any day that my thyroid gland is going to stop being able to function right, so I'm appreciating it while I can.)
Fact is, many people can't just lose the weight with diet changes. Many people do have metabolic problems, or the medication they're on for other things keeps the weight on.
The fact that there is so much pressure on people who really can't help their weight, to make them feel they have to doctor their pictures- is nausiating to me. And fact is, I spent alot of time avoiding cameras as well because of my weight as well-
Fact is, people should try their hardest to maintain a *healthy* weight, for their own health and well being. But as long as they're trying to take care of themselves, they should NOT be ashamed of how they look. And not for nothing. Even people who have given up, should not have to be ashamed about how they look.
Our world is way too superficial.
