TechCrunch 'Women in Tech' Panel Devolves Into Massive Fight {Lemondrop}
Oct 1st 2010 10:20AM Wow! Here's what hit me about this whole thing: Degrees are not AWARDED (Rachel Sklar), they are earned. The women that work in my very technical organization are top notch and have EARNED their degrees. In my mind there is no sexual bias when it comes to technical careers - if women want to get in the field, they should go to school and get the degree. We cannot change the fact that women have historically shied away from technical careers. As time progresses, I expect more and more women to enter the field. More power to them. This whole panel set women back, in my opinion.
