'I Discovered My Husband Was Gay' {Lemondrop}
Oct 1st 2010 1:12PM When I was in grade school my older sister, who was a super straight, from the country, college girl was swept off her feet by a really kewl guy. They were married and not long later after college he was on the fast track to be a VP for Reynolds Tobacco company. The company didn't know what I sensed and she didn't sense.
He was even a Navy Officer from ROTC. I just had a sixth sense from his vibes.
They had 4 kids with one in college before it came out. I think he was actually trying to make it in a straight life but apparently his hormone level (estrogen and testosterone) was just so far out of balance he had to have men. He divorced her finally and tried to get off with almost no alimony. (at that time $200/mo) in North Carolina. It was allowed then. She had quit college as a Jr. to be married as he was older etc. She never re-married but stood by her kids in their lives and they kind of stood by him (which baffles me --- father or not) I think his connection to their grandkids would be a very negative thing for them) He never failed to try to do something when he could to harrass her in subtle ways. It's a psychological thing with a person like that trying to pass the buck off their own weaknesses.
He even tried to hit on me when I was over 18. He finally died --- we think from AIDS but the reasons were not made public. Now she is finally free from the stigma and the kids can go on and live a normal life without feeling like they need to cater to his whims. The whole world centers around those kinds of men --- all for them and none for anyone else etc.
How do you protect your young daughters (18 to 21) from a man who simply can not help himself or doesn't care except for himself? I don't have the answer.
Usually there are red flags along the way somewhere but young people are blinded from the love thing. Good Luck and don't be afraid to follow your intuition about a gut feeling when you are young and from then on.
Jenna Phillips: How I Recovered From Brain Damage {Lemondrop}
Oct 1st 2010 10:31AM Jenna, terrific. I took some classes 18 yrs ago, in Canada, on Kineseology.
Since the govt. there pays for medical they encourage alternative therapists to learn new things to help citizens as it also saves the govt. money. I had been an electronics teacher so was interested in their "electrical" balancing. To shorten my story: A portion of the procedure dealt with releasing seized cranial joints (we called it) and releasing concussions. Whenever there is an injury (like cutting a finger) the brain shuts off nerves to send the pain signal to the brain. You may remember cutting a finger at one time or other and it hurt but also was numb. The numbness is the nerve that is shut off. It comes back on when it is healed. Bang your arn very hard and it won't move. The brain is shutting off all the nerves until it determines if there is a cut or break. Then it comes back on if there isn't any serious damage.
Now, in the brain when you hit the skull it also shuts off the area you hit but it doesn't come back on. The rest of the brain compensates for the hit spot. With many hit spots (like rugby players after a few years) there are so many hit spots shut off that there is no more brain to compensate and the person starts having talking problems and others also. There is a very simple way (discovered in Germany over 80 years ago) to turn all that back on. We don't hear about that in our country because our main stream medical is more chemical oriented but much of the rest of the world is tuned in. A Dr. Whelan, who is a neurosurgeon and works for NASA part time has done much work with the method. Google : Dr Whelan/ NASA/Led
and read of some of his work. NASA is military and the FDA has no power over the military in relation to medical. That's why NASA makes so many advancements without interference from FDA. Dr. Whelan got in the NASA hall of fame for turning on light sensitive tumor medication, inside the brain, with a red LED (light emitting diode) He states that the LED's light can penetrate up to 8 inches into the body and turn on nerves that are shut off. He receives credit for the work in our country but the work started in Germany over 80 yrs ago. Now you can easiy do this to yourself with absolutely no risk of any side effects with a simple red LED.
Feel free to e-mail me and I will be happy to discuss. Many ADHD, epileptics, and other conditions such as speech impediments have been stopped or greatly improved in a few minutes.
I am so impressed by your story. I too had a fairly serious concussion on two different occasions and had a long struggle before accidentally coming upon these classes in Canada.
Thanks for all you do..... Jimers
Bus Tours Promote 'Polygamy Experience' {AOL Travel News}
Sep 30th 2010 8:18PM Regina:
I actually know a lady who has more than one husband. It's done the same way the original Mormons did it. They marry one legally and the other ones just live there.
The husbands all live in the same home and bring home more bread. The woman is attractive and quite strong and can easily keep up with two or three guys. I am not sure how many husbands she has at this time but know of two about 10 yrs ago. Two kids at that time.
The original Mormons (as today) marry one legally and the others they marry in their church and each mom has her own home. The guy spends a week with each if they are getting along. Problem is when the first wife gets old she may spend more time at home alone than she likes so the apathy sets in. I have personally observed that kind of apathy in a original Mormon colony. It is very sad for the older ones . The guys like it but as time goes on the guys have a rather tired look on their faces. Wonder why? lol Interestingly enough the kids from the different families (different actual houses) often don't associate all that well.
(Competition between wives for affection etc.) perhaps. They all appear to be exceptionally decent acting people and very respectful. The Colony I am aware of send their kids to public school. When a guy dies it is interesting to see how many kids listed though. Lots sometimes. They are exceptinal citizens though although most don't finish the siding on one side of their homes so they don't have to pay taxes on their home though.

Sep 30th 2010 8:09PM Interestingly enough they are not a spin off of LDS. They are the original Mormon and the modern Mormon is a spin off (at a government demand that they go to one wife or not become the state of Utah) If you read The 27th Wife you will note that our government came within a tweak of making polygamy legal, however the 27th wife gave talks all over the U.S. and in front of our President. Also the lady who was a nanny for the King of Siam gave talks all over the U.S. The two met once while they both happened to be booked for a talk in the same city. We didn't have movies and TV at that time therefore the main entertainment was theatre and oration. It is an incredibly interesting piece of history and there are very few of the books left. : : Was it divine intervention that changed our government's mind about allowing polygamy or was it just a coincidence after two women who absolutely hated the experience or observing it, told the nation many years ago. At the same time they spoke of hating the experience there were many other women who grew up with polygamy and loved it.
The man has a tendency to cater to the younger wives after he marries an 18 yr old and his first wife is 48 and the 48 yr old can slip into a state of apathetic depression for not being used for the wifie thing. The 27th wife said the younger women got better food when the older ones just had left overs and like macaroni and cheese etc. Perhaps yes Perhaps not
Christians are taught one wife. Some other religions are not so singular. Now with acceptance of all religions (sometimes even satanism ) we may see some interesting alterations of our standards as we progress further into what appear to be later times.
I think it is a fascinating subject. I have known of women having more than one husband -- in the same fashion as the original Mormons had more than one wife. That means more money coming in and some women are healthy enough to participate in an arrangement of that nature. Just think guys....... you could go fishing and hunting without having to be back so soon as the wife would be occupied. Less stress. lol
