I Was a Secret From My Fiance's Muslim Family {Lemondrop}

Aug 18th 2010 6:21PM I am a woman and I CONVERTED to Islam one year ago. At first I used to believe the same horrible things about Islam that you guys believe. That was out of my ignorance. I studied a lot about Islam. I bought many books by many Christian, Atheists and Muslim scholars. I did my research for over one year and I finally converted (My boyfriend was not a Muslim, No one in my family is Muslim, none long-time friends were/are Muslim). Stop believing what CNN wants you to believe, stop taking Quranic verses out of context. Study, just as you would study for a Thesis defense and you will see what true Islam is about.
Honestly... how much do you guys know about Islam? Stop being so blind and fooled by the government and CNN. Yes, there are bad Muslims... AND there are good Muslims...... isn't it the same with Jews, Christians, Agnostics, etc, etc? Why nobody seems to be freaking out about all the Western men that beat their wives (Just in case you didn't know, it DOES happen... Just inform yourselves). Why nobody seems to be all stressed-out about Christians stepping into McDonald's or Universities and shooting whosoever is on their way... ? What about all the humiliation and violence that black people, natives and other minorities have suffered in all of American history?.....
