Fighting Fuzz Balls: How To Breathe New Life Into Old (and Fuzzy) Sweaters {WalletPop}

Jan 31st 2011 8:57PM I've used the fabric shaver for a long time and still have older sweaters. It also works on socks, but be very careful. I could hardly believe it- they they looked brand new or nearly new.

Seven Things That Will Cost More in 2011 and What You Can Do About Them {WalletPop}

Jan 10th 2011 11:08PM So, we're looking at at least a 130% rise in costs...depending on whether or not you will use all of these items or services, or just few. Now compare that with your paltry raise of, say, 1-3%...if you get any, that is.

How Not to Handle the Holidays -- A [Redacted] Guide for Single People {Lemondrop}

Dec 18th 2010 3:07PM Interesting. As a single person my whole adult life, I've never felt that way around the holidays...about it being a 'time for couples'. I only got depressed during the holidays after members of my immediate family passed on or moved away. The last two years I've been with a singles group with whom we share things in common so we meet at various get-togethers and have a blast. People, you CAN survive being single! NO one said you HAD to always be hooked up with someone. Break outta that box of society's cliches and 'expectations' and do your own thing.

The Magic Word at Work {AOL Jobs}

Nov 5th 2010 3:28AM It seems what is happening is that employees saying 'yes' to more work that's not in their job description, more hours, etc. are doing it because they saw the good employee down the hall who put in their share in an 8 to 10 hour day get canned. It's self-preservation but the more people do this, the more the company will expect their employees to bend over. With unemployment at 10% or up to 22%, depending on how many have stopped looking for work, it seems a preferencial alternative do extra. At least you still get a paycheck for however long it lasts until YOU get laid-off. Reality is setting in for many that this economy is likely to get worse. We may see 30% or higher unemployment in the future and the coming hyper-inflation will make the 'Great Depression' look like a cake-walk. The fact of the matter is, this coming economic collapse was pre-orchestrated by the purposeful devaluation of not just our currency but many nations. It has been in the works for some time. It's pre-orchestrated to work that way. The Fed (some 6 major banks) will own our debt, own us. BTW, George Soros made much of his money as a currency trader. This would be a great windfall for the likes of him. The dollar will not be worth as much as toilet paper. There is no solution unless you figure out a way to work for yourself, turn a profit and keep the Fed out of the till. Good luck with that. Try to stay healthy and pray.

Peak Times for Breakups Are Right Before Christmas and Spring Break {Asylum}

Nov 4th 2010 2:50PM Actually, the guy really doesn't want to get his 'girlfriend' a gift at all, let alone a bad one. They didn't want to tip their hand before then that their relationship was really just superficial. Giving them a decent gift would make it look like they are more serious about them than they want the girl/woman to believe. Therefore, they'll sabotage the relationship or breakup with them right before Christmas or before the girl's/woman's birthday or before spring break (because the guy wants to go find a one week romance or several one-night stands in some other state/location). I and some of my friends have experienced it more than once so I know what I'm talking about.

Rocky Horror 'Glee' Episode a Time Warp for Original Floor-Show Frank {ParentDish}

Oct 21st 2010 2:58AM Woops. Also, the fact that this mom was so excited and proud that her 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER was singing and dancing to this thing is disgusting but not surprising...just shows what our education system is coming to...and parenting, for that matter. If the auther had not had a starring role in the original musical or didn't have any connection to it, I have to wonder how she would have reacted.

Top Rock Codas: All's Well That Ends Well {Spinner}

Aug 21st 2010 5:38PM Are you kidding? Those ALL suck! Apparently, music is in the ear of the beholder. I also change the channel when 'Hey Jude' comes on- way overrated and featured way too much by the media hounds at the time...and still, evidently.

What Life Is Like for Lindsay Lohan Behind Bars {PopEater}

Jul 21st 2010 3:23PM That 'jail cell' is bigger and roomier than my rented bedroom, too! In fact, mine is 10 X 10 ft with a queen size bed (not mine) taking up most of the space. She also gets three meals a day and I can only really afford two, yet I get up and go to work everyday. What's wrong with this picture?
