Oct 18th 2006 9:48AM I worked for a podiatrist (foot doctor and surgeon) for many years and know for a fact that wearing high heels does NOT create bone deformities. If you already have genetic predisposition to bone deformities an ill fitting shoe of any kind can exasburate the problem giving you noticable symptoms sooner in life. However, there are entire tribes in 3rd world countries that are studied for the same foot and ankle problems (bunions, hammertoes, and RA.. (which is an auto immune disease that is NOT created by wearing bad shoes). Many people in these tribes have these same problems and have never worn shoes a day in their lives. If you think that wearing a pair of (these are ugly ass shoes!) high heels is going to mess up your bone structure of your feet you are only showing your ignorance. Wear these ugly ass huge shoes and strut your stuff with confidence. But remember the only thing sexy about it will be the confidence you carry yourself with. If you need the shoes to feel like your legs look awesome than buy them and strut away. Personally if I saw a woman with killer legs wearing these I'd feel bad for her and if your legs aren't that great these aren't going to make anyone say "wow she has great legs" they will say.... "wow, look at those huge shoes!... aparently she's trying to compensate for those legs". This is just an example of the markets trying to sell shoes to people that already have what they have on the shelves so they have to rotate something old/new back in to make a buck! Hopefully you aren't wearing these shoes while running on the hampster wheel of style trying to keep up.
