Jun 10th 2010 4:03PM I am a food stamp user I am newly divorced,single parent, dislocated worker, and full time student. Yes, i get the looks from people who dont understand my situation, I live in a wealth part of CA, it is hard to have a cashier say loudly IS THAT FOOD STAMPS??!?? for the whole line to hear. But, I say yes it is, and buy my milk and food to keep my child healthy and cared for. I get looks and the random question, but people like me get a bad wrap as I use this service because i am in need. I had a good job and a nice home I didnt have a need then, but things change, I see many people take advantage of this service all the time, and it breaks my heart because for every person that falsely gets and uses food stamps is taking food out of a child's mouth that could use it. I am not dishonest nor am I lazy, I found my self in a bad spot, and i am not ashamed, neither should any one else who finds them self with out money for food. things happen thank goodness for the help I get or it would be just another sad story

May 29th 2009 1:49AM So on my birthday last year i came home to my house robbed. My was room tossed in a panic i called the police. A nice guy kinda portly showed up at my home to take my report pictures and thing of that nature. my room was a completely shamble my underwear... stolen clean and dirty alike. i failed to notice that my gold "treasure" chest from deep under my bed was now on my bed. needless to say the officer went to open it i realized what was in it and slammed his finger in the top. he reaches for his gun and backs away and asks me what is in there and to step away. well he found out.... all i could say was "hey i have needs to!" then send the next hour crying at him.. lol what a birthday... a girl has need too.
