Apr 5th 2011 9:12AM In this country some are blaming cartoon characters, etc. and the advertising instead of people taking responsibility for themselves. In Japan, they use cartoons on many snack items, on tv, and in ads all the time and they are not an obese society. Again, personal responsibility. McDonald's never originated as a "health food restaurant". It is what it is. Everything in moderation. If people are going to blame McDonalds for making their kids fat, then you'd also have to blame Apple computers and Microsoft and all the gaming companies like Nintendo, etc. for inventing all this stuff that makes people more sedentary. Crazy!

Oct 26th 2010 9:28AM When our mothers comment on long hair being bad after 40, they are coming from an entirely different generation and perspective altogether. When they were young maybe that's the way it was, but things are not that way anymore. Why does it seem ok for actresses over 40 to have hair as long as they want to and not anyone else? Back in the Bible days even men had long hair! As long as you like it, it looks good and most importantly, makes YOU feel good about yourself, then what would be the problem! I refuse to have "helmet hair" because that's the way another generation likes it to be and wore it in their day! How ridiculous!
