SUV's are not out of date--ridiculous. Compact SUV's make a great deal of sense--they have space, crash-worthiness, and get decent fuel economy.

The solution is actually very simple: bring 1-3 supertankers to the area, pump the oil/water in, separate the oil and water, release the water, and bring the oil to the refineries. There is no need to waste this oil and there is no need to disperse it.
