Nov 26th 2008 8:02PM icetea...I did not say I blame Christians for the Holocaust. I said, they turned their heads the other way while it was going on. If you do no believe that, you have not read much history. Also, Germans thought Hitler was a "good" Christian because there were photos of him coming out of church and the majority supported him in the annihilation of Jews. I know this from first hand accounts of peope who lived in Germany during this time. See how easily it is for people to become brainwashed?

Nov 26th 2008 5:07PM Religion only teaches hate, bigotry and intolerance. Most of the wars fought are fought in the name of a god because that takes the responsibility out of the hands of the perpetrators.
Their "Good Book" said it was OK to do it. As a humanist, I believe in the sanctity of life. I do not believe in abortion or murdering innocent people in the name of war. The first President Bush said that without God there is no morality. He had no idea what he was talking about. His son has murdered tens of thousands of innocent people and anyone who voted for George W (at least the second time) carries that responsibility also. If you believe in hell, that's where you are going to spend eternity with George W. You cannot be pro-life and at the same time be a mass murderer. If everyone lived by The Golden Rule, as humanists do, this world would be a much better place. Instead of sitting in a congregation of hypocrites on Sunday morning, become stewards of the earth. And stop looking at people not like you as "them". Ignore man made borders. We are all on this planet together and must take care of each other for it to survive. That is the way to honor whatever source we came from.

Oct 9th 2006 11:44AM This is what happens when society makes coming out as a homosexual something to be ashamed of. There is never an excuse for pedophilia. However, if Mark Foley would have been comfortable "coming out", he probably would have had an adult partner and would not have had to resort to lewd behavior with minors.

Not only are people born as homosexuals, but then they have to live with the ignorance of their fellow human beings who don't stop telling them they are sinners. Do you, actually, think people would choose to be homosexuals??????

It's like telling dwarfs to "grow up", or telling blue eyed people they are less than perfect because they are missing pigment in their eye coloring.

God is constantly testing all of us and those who are filled with hate and bigotry are failing miserably.
