Mar 16th 2010 2:08PM The key to having meaningful conversations with your teens is to have meaningful conversations with your kids from the time they can speak. Being consistant is also key. My kids knew from a young age that they could ask me anything and I would answer them truthfully in a manner that was appropriate to their age. No subject was taboo. Allow them ownership of their feelings as well. What they feel is real and is neither wrong or right, it just is. I do feel fortunate that when my daughters communicated less with me, they still were communicating with their dad, just as my son turned to me more at one point than he did my husband. I worked hard not to take it personally then and we all still freely communicate now that the "kids" are in their 20's.

Their communities recognize them and love them for their dedication, though the rest of us passing them on a busy street, simply have no idea. To the Howard family, you have my condolences. Time to ban perfumes from high school? {BloggingStocks}
Sep 5th 2007 10:26AM Sadly many scent mongers layer their perfumes. Body wash, lotion and the perfume. It is too much! I've had to move when in church because of the overwhelming perfumes worn by some women. If you are going to be in confined spaces, you need to tone down the amount of scent you wear. Airplanes, classrooms whatever. If you can smell your own perfume, you have put too much on.
