Jun 17th 2010 7:48PM Simplicity simplicity simplicity! I cook alot, but just have the basics, which are all I need and/or use. No bottled water here, I never hopped on that bandwagon. I live upstairs, why would I lug water upstairs, and then mountains of trash downstairs? I got a Brita water filter at a yard sale for $1 FIVE years ago, Every year I buy a new packet of filters for $20. I have an old water bottle that I fill up and toss it in my bag. Make my own icecubes like a neanderthal! We are a nation bogged down with consumerism. If we see it on TV, then we must have it without thinking first. Guess what, I dont watch TV either. That is the best decision of all.

May 13th 2010 2:41AM I see cute young girls at work every day wearing those godawful lowrise jeans I wore in high school....the ones that make your hip fat bulge, your belly bulge, and your ass crack visible to the world. Nothing flattering about them at all, never was, never will be. I think of mom jeans as like 'll bean' jeans: higher than your waist, cut full in the butt, tapering down to skinny ankles--giving you that lovely ice cream cone silhouette. These jeans shes wearing aint mom jeans, they are just cute jeans in a style other than the fashion slaves/peerpressure slaves condone at the moment.

May 2nd 2010 10:45PM Aren't we women sick to death of this topic? Where is it written in stone that we have to wear spandex at the beach or pool???? When men wear spandex everyone laughs, why the sexist fashion demands for women? Well, OK, we KNOW the answer to that question: fashion is big business, weight loss and self help are big business, keeping women oppressed and viewed as objects is the norm. Women revolt: opt for cute tank tops and board shorts if you arent comfortable wrapped in spandex--its OK. You wont be breaking any laws, except arcane societal stereotypes, and they are fun to break.

Mar 20th 2010 11:19AM i had a terrible crush on someone, who unbeknownst to me had a longtime gf; i had a heart to heart with him about it, and being a great guy he understood, told me the whole gf story, and we moved on. that talk sort of demystified him to me, but i realize he is a great guy and all that, and i was able to snuff the crush and just appreciate the close friendship that developed afterwards.
