Oct 16th 2010 8:33PM I have driven events like this. I was told many times about the risks. I signed waivers. So did you daughter in law. I am sorry she lost her life in a tragic way. Thousands of people do this every year witout the loss of life. This is a safe activity. I know of only one other death in a stock car experience in the last 10 or 12 years. If you do not agree with the risks, do not get into the car. As an adult you make your own choices. You say she was full of life and love. She got that way by grabing life as she wanted to. She did not get that way sitting in a chair at home. She was probably having a great time being full of life before this accident happened. I am sorry for your loss but she made her choice as thousands of others have. There is no need to stop living an exciting life unless you are ready to quit living. Do not ban this. Sure, take a look to be sure everything was done properly. 40,000 people are killed driving the roads every year in the US but we are not yelling to ban cars..... not yet anyway.

Oct 16th 2010 8:23PM This is about the chance to do something almost no one gets to do. It is safer than almost any activity you can name. It is not about the big bucks. It is about having an experience that will be remembered for a lifetime. I am sorry she lost her life. This is about her choice. If you do not agree then you should stay at home in your chair and watch others live an exciting life on your TV. Just because you do not want to experience something why do you want to have it banned? You sound like a progressive to me, ban everything that you do not agree with. I vote for personal choice and personal responsibility.

Sep 14th 2010 9:27PM II think female reporters in a men's locker room is just stupid. Why not let male reporters into the locker rooms of female athletes? Just try to send a man into the locker room of a women's basket ball team, or a women's baseball team. Why not let male reporters into the locker rooms of female tennis players? In the name of equal rights and equality we do some stupid things and this is one of them. Females do not belong in men's locker rooms.
AND this reporter did not dress in a proper way. What she was wearing was not appropriate for this job. She wants to be equal but dresses in a very flashy/lots of skin showing way and complains when men act stupidly. Yes the men were fools too but this whole think is stupid and should not happen in the future. Women do not belong in the mens room.

Feb 10th 2010 12:17AM Have any of you ever given a speech in front of a lot of people? I have and it is VERY hard. You have notes and you still miss things. Palin did something plain and simple and SMART. She wanted to keep those words in front of her to keep herself on track. It is hard to think with a few million people watching (on television) I think a lot of people dislike Palin because she is one of us. She uses something as simple as a marker and her hand to replace a teleprompter and a whole team of writers. We need to get back to basics to fix this country. We need simple solutions. We need hard working Americans. I like Sarah Palin more every day.

Jul 31st 2009 7:50AM This is silly. I have spent over $ 2K to save a dog but not a vicious one. If Cesar Millan can't help this dog it is time to put it down. Now the dog is LESS dangerous, not harmless. What if it gets out and bites a child in the face? It will do less damage but it will still harm the child. it will hurt anyone it bites, just not as bad. I love dogs but sometimes there is only one answer for a dog that hurts others.

Jan 17th 2009 2:40PM Wake up people. I keep reading how the temptation must have been too great and they were entrapped into theft. The bank made a mistake. They committed a crime when they cashed in the account and fled to another state. If you read the law entrapment would only apply if the bank then asked them to steal it. Temptation is not an acceptable excuse. I agree there would be temptation but if you fall for that, be prepared for the result of being charged with a crime.
Temptation is not an excuse. What if you see a beautiful ring on the counter in a jewelry store. Can you steal it because the store left it lying there and tempted you. No... DUH.
