British Prison Officer Fired for Being Too Pretty? {Lemondrop}

Jul 19th 2009 8:23PM It's not her looks. If she didn't respond to an inmate saying he'd take her back to her cell, then she's prime to be turned. And dirty bitches =injuries when officers have to respond to her alarm because she changed her mind and didn't want to sleep with them anymore. Or she buys into their crap and brings in contraband.

A too tight uniform is an invitation to be disrespected and marks that officer as not only a weak link, but an attention whore. I worked with lots of lovely women at the prison where I worked and I'm one myself. But I don't wear my uniform to invite comments. You get enough of that as it is. You walk into a cell house and some inmates think that means that you want to see their dicks.

Women like this make it harder for career minded women to be taken seriously in corrections.

Lesbian Teens Named 'Best Couple' {Lemondrop}

Jul 9th 2009 3:07PM I am repulsed by political correctness, I think it's a form of censorship, and refuse to buy into it. It's an insult to free speech. Nowhere in our Bill of Rights does it say that you have the right not to be insulted. I may not like what you say, but I will defend your right to say it.

But before anyone gets their knickers in a knot...

Accepting people's differences is what this country was built on. Freedom to be who you are. If you don't like it, you're free not to. Also, this country was built on freedom of religion. So, for those of you who take issue with this on a religious basis, you're free to. But you are not free to enforce your idealogy on the rest of us. Live your beliefs, but don't try to make someone else live them. Especially not me.

And further, if your god is a god of love and light, then how can two people who love each other be wrong? Please, spare me the biblical quotes because you're quoting men, not God. See "Council of Nicea." And while we're at it, it's up to God to judge man according to your faith. So, that would also mean not you.

I think it's wonderful that we've come this far, it gives me hope. People should be accepted and liked or disliked based on how they treat you, how they treat others, and their contributions to the world. Not what color they are, not what size they are, not what race, and definitely not who they sleep with.

Look at that picture again. Look at those smiles. They're so happy. It's lovely!

Is There Such a Thing As a Feminist Wedding? {Lemondrop}

Jun 9th 2009 9:42PM Thanks for saying that, Julie. I've known a lot of women who think I'm feeding into sexism by being a stay home mother. I had a social worker tell me I was too smart to waste my life barefoot. Do you have any idea how angry that makes me? I choose to stay home. I don't see how raising my children and caring for my family is a waste. My husband works two jobs so that I can stay home. I take care of him because he takes care of me, that's a partnership. That's the job I chose when we were married. I don't think poorly of a woman who chooses a career, but it doesn't mean that I'm not as intelligent because I didn't.

In my wedding, my husband and I wrote our own vows. There was no "obey" anywhere in the thing. If you take the religion out of it, marriage is nothing more than a business contract between two parties. That's why there's a contract. In the contract you sign, it's all about the "worldly goods", not about how much you love each other. Just because you engage in the tradition, that doesn't mean you're engaging in the ideology. It's all about what it means to you.

And Jessica, wow. That's awesome. I would love to be called a ball-cutting cybersuccubus. That's cool as hell. When I did work outside the home, the inmates never came up with anything that creative. I applaud you.

Real Girls Reveal How Guys Asked Them to Go to Fifth Base {Lemondrop}

May 22nd 2009 3:31PM My husband and I first tried it quite by accident. It wasn't an "oops wrong hole", he would tease back there, just rubbing his penis there. And then, one day when I was really into it, it just went in. He was so shocked he didn't even move at first. But, he eats EVERYTHING on his plate if you know what I mean and that makes it much more enjoyable. Plus, it's the only time that he has control over when he gets off as opposed to when I want him to. He's so focused on making it good for me and not hurting me, that he's got an immunity.

Grandmother gives birth to her grandson {ParentDish}

Oct 3rd 2006 3:22PM I think it's beautiful and my heart is full for this family! I wish them the very best. It's stories like this, seeing the lengths that some people have to go to, to have children that should make us all realize what we do have.
