She needs to chill out. Once you put yourself out in the public eye, you should expect a few pokes at you and your family.

Jan 23rd 2009 9:39AM I use the library card like a demon these days and rarely buy books. I still pick up the designer coffee a few days a week as I go in to my 12 hour night work shift, but we're also picking up nice coffee to make at home at this point as well. We rarely go out to a movie, the last time being over a year ago, but we will pick up discount tickets for entertainment occasionally. I try to take advantage of the discounted tickets thru work.

Apr 20th 2007 5:37PM Lighten up folks! It's those cute moments that keep us sane when they're crying all night long, or later become teenagers! Being able to find a few moments of laughter, joy and fun with your children is a blessing! For those who think they tortured the kid... grow up. I'm a nurse.. the child was reasonably supported...and I'm sure she wasn't left there for hours! Besides, how many of us have dozed off in class... or on the couch.. or at the desk?? And I'm sure that my friends had a great laugh at my expense! I hope that people really don't think this is abuse.. because if you do, you should spend a little time in a Peds ICU, or an ER, to see what real abuse looks like!

I work with Neonatal ICU infants.. and occasionally, you find yourself with parents who just wish they had a way to get out of the responsiblity of raising the infants. Teen moms and drug users just to name a few! Give these parents a safe alternative to the garbage can or a doorstep. Give the infants a chance at a safe home!

Oct 24th 2006 6:13PM I think that this is such a waste of time and money. It only goes further to show how we have become so caught up in "having everything". I agree that the money for this could have easily have gone toward taking care of families without homes, children without food, persons without healthcare who are suffering. I'd like to see more of the "super rich" using their money for the good of someone less fortunate! Imagine taking the money for the 24 hour guards who are just watching this, and gave it to a needy family. Imagine the joy at knowing you were able to help someone that much! The persons who thought this up, or who would actually spend that much on a cake should be shamed in public! I don't think it is wrong to work hard, and have nice things.. but to be outrageously wasteful... not acceptable. It shows poor character and lack of proper upbringing. I have a hard time coming up with this months rent.. my ongoing doctor's bills... providing for heat and food for my son and myself. Should I ever be in the position of being ultra rich... you'd see me using my funds to provide for those less fortunate!!!!
