HELLO! Health Care was given top billing because it does no good to give the people jobs they might lose through illness! I don't know about you guys, but I don't work 1/2 as well when I'm sick than when I'm healthy. Don't know any others who do their best work sick either. If people don't have the means to see a doctor when they're ill, they'll go to work and get the whole crew sick. Children are cruel and rude, but most of all IGNORANT.

As for the drug culture...it's interesting to note that the Jefferson Airplane chronicaled it so appropriately with Slick's "White Rabbit" and it's admonishment to "KEEP YOUR HEAD". Apparently minus Ms. Slick's scrapes with all of civilization's MASTER of Evil Spirits; Alcohol, that does seem to be exactly what she did! The proof is, she's done lived to her golden years, and looking pretty damned bright and spiffy to boot! RIGHT ON GRACIE!!!!!!

Feb 24th 2010 4:11AM Nothing against Southerners...........Lincoln was born in Kentucky reared between there, Indiana and Illinois. His Family were Separatist Baptists who were admantly against alcohol and slavery.
MARY TODD's family Lincoln's wife were slave holders. Lincoln may well have emancipated the slaves that were Mary's inheritance, but he never had slaves in his own right.

To the Southerners' credit some facts exist. The Civil War wasn't really about emancipating slaves.....It was about the South's Independence. But because Lincoln did speak fervently and eloquently against it, due to his families faith Slavery became the "cause" to lead the North into their crusade.

In spite of the bad name the South has for biggotry and cruelty towards blacks, it does also remain a historical fact that many of the slaves about 30% (with about 10-15% flat refusing to leave in the first place) didn't just stay in the South but went back to the plantations as after being out on their own realized their masters treated them better than employers did. Others not having a clue of how to obtain work went into crime, and were brought back to slavery to pay off their crimes. Wages wouldn't make room and board let alone ever see a doctor. So only 1/2 actually really wanted out. Only 20% made a go of it only to find with the laws written the way they were in the Northern States, they never saw real freedom, Couldn't homestead, couldn't vote, couldn't own property, had to rent. A Republican idea, freeing the slaves, would mean more people looking for work and excuse to lower wages hence larger profits.

Strange though, nearly every indebted soul with a job that keeps going hand to mouth today knows what slavery is first hand. And also factual, slavery is far from abolished world wide.......not by a long shot. I say if it means something to them, let them keep their flag. TIP: White man is no freer than anyone, only the mega rich are free. And they're smart enough to keep the rest of us down.
