Dec 5th 2010 11:24AM I don't think there is a right or a wrong answer here. It's individual choice. However, ANYONE who EXPECTS a gift from ANYONE should not be doing so. Especially if the gift is potentially from a parent or parents on a fixed income. That puts an unnecessary financial and emotional burden on them. My parents really want to give all of us adult kids (5 of us...there were 6, but my brother passed last year), gifts, even if it's just a card and money to be used to buy ourselves something we cannot otherwise afford. They are very generous. We've all told them that this is not expected or necessary, however appreciated it might be. To us, it's all about family. The only grandchild is my 17 year old daughter, who will be 18 in January 2011. We will get her gifts for every occasion for as long as we are financially able. And we don't expect a thing from her. We are happy with her love.

Oct 23rd 2009 8:42AM We pay nearly $650 a month for FAMILY coverage with HIGH co-pays (the employer even pays about 20% of the health insurance premium, as that is truly all THEY can afford). My husband earns a good wage. My daughter will be needing an MRI, which WE will have to pay for even though it is a DIAGNOSTIC TEST--JUST LIKE AN X-RAY. They pay for the x-rays 100%, but they won't even pay for the MRI until we pay the first $2000 out of pocket for the deductible. I agree with regulating health care COSTS AND premiums. THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL IT TRULY COSTS THIS MUCH TO TREAT THE SICK AND PREVENT ILLNESSES IN THE HEALTHY. And don't even get me started on the cost of prescription drugs! Now insurance companies are deciding which drugs to cover and which drugs to NOT cover, even though YOUR DOCTOR SAYS YOU NEED IT. This is BOGUS BULL****! OBAMA CAN'T FIX THIS, AS HE IS AN IDIOT. I did't vote for him. He's bad news for our country. He's fixed nothing. He's gotten us into more debt than ever because of the bailouts. He's ridiculous. He has virtually no experience--he's NOT MY PRESIDENT.

Oct 17th 2009 4:35PM Your statement is totally inaccurate and unfair. Pounds = size is NOT the same for everyone. I am very short and small, and for me, it's 8-10 pounds that equal a size. Bone structure and metabolism also have a LOT do to with it. Get your FACTS STRAIGHT. Good Lord. Some people have all the nerve. UGH.
