Sony and PlayStation 3 jailbreaker George Hotz settle out of court {Joystiq}

Sony and PlayStation 3 jailbreaker George Hotz settle out of court {Joystiq}

What he did was no different than a guy taking apart the engine in his car, modifying it, and posting pictures of what he did on the internet.

What Sony is trying to do is outlaw tinkering. It has nothing to do with 'cheating at games' or whatever. It is about the freedom of speech and the freedom of people to have control over their own possessions...

or do you wish to live in a world where you are not allowed to lift the hood of your own car? or where a certain group of short numbers become illegal to publish? That is where Sony wants to take us.

That is where we are headed unless people stick up for the George Hotzs of the world.

'Honda lost the hunger that drove it to take risks' {Autoblog}

Sep 20th 2006 10:29PM Honda and many other manufacturers put up factories in the American South precisely because there is no UAW (auto worker union) there.

However, in Japan, they --do-- have labor unions working in their factories, and have for a long time.

I am sorry, but your statement just, doesn't make any kind of sense to anyone who knows anything about unions and Japanese auto makers.
