May 21st 2010 1:34PM In most restaurants server's tips ARE their paychecks. To take up one table for 3 hours and leave a $5 tip just isn't right. She could have turned that table at least twice so if they wanted to sit and yack they should have compensated her for that time or gone to a fast food place instead where tips and turnovers don't matter.
Not knowing the exact words she used on FB I can't comment on her firing. I'm sure she learned a hard and surprising lesson. I wish more people understood that most servers do not get paid in the 'normal' way of other jobs.

Jan 19th 2009 6:11PM GMA reported that the Obamas chose to buy a new bed and then held up a picture of it. Searching online my sister found the bed with a $12,000+ price tag on it. Mattress not included. It was also reported that Mrs. Obama was going to redo all the public rooms of the White House.
Whether things are paid for privately or through donations, this is a bad time to be flaunting wealth as a new president.

Jul 14th 2007 4:28PM In the 1970's the company my dad worked for was doing business with Monsanto. We had VIP passes into the park and attended a reception that evening. It was held in Club 33. I remember asking my dad if he was drinking wine and he laughed and said "No you can't drink at Disneyland". I had no idea the club was exclusive until reading this web site!
That year I went to Disneyland 14 times on Monsanto passes.
