Best ice cream in America not just from a shop {Gadling}
May 31st 2011 6:50PM How in the world isn't Graeter's on here? The peach is to die for, pumpkin in October, blueberry pie at times, the best strawberry in the world. I'm not big on chocolate chip, but everyone else raves on it.
Super Bowl Journey Ignites Memories of JFK Assassination {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Feb 3rd 2011 8:42PM I spent about 10 hours a week for a couple years looking at the assination. At first, I was inclined to think there was a conspiracy. But now, there is simply no question-zero-none that Oswald did it, acting alone. It is amazing to me that idiots like Bob can claim the Warren Report is fiction, but wild guess, he's never read it. DOH! The problem is in taking the conspiracy writers at face value. They are simply brazen liars. Anyway, 2 questions to help people along the way to find the simple truth of a lone Marxist nutjob killing the President:
1. Why exactly did Oswald go to the Paine's house the night before the assassination? Curtain rods? Riiiiiiiiiiiight. They couldn't wait. Had to be that night. Duh.
2. If a shot came from anywhere but the front, where did the bullet end up?

Ambition: The Fire in the Belly Employers Want {AOL Jobs}
Jan 17th 2011 10:57AM These articles always make me vomit. Work double hard for the employer, don't expect decent wages, and show them you have AMBITION. After the company tires of you, they'll show you the door. The American business model is broken. Totally. I am afraid we'll soon have uprisings in the streets like Europe.
How the Post Office Can Make Money and Survive {WalletPop}
Jan 14th 2011 8:37PM Has anyone ever noticed how consistently Postal employees posting to stories reference the oversized and overpaid management structure? I would KILL for Postal management to have to take a Wonderlich or some other objective test. We are managed by an incredible array of truly stupid buffoons. We have upper level managers pulling down over 100k a year who couldn't write a grammatically correct sentence if their life depended on it.
As for some of the ideas mentioned here, I don't think overstaffing is an issue, except for management. The clerk craft has cut over 40% of jobs in the last 10 years. I made more money 20 years ago than I did last year, because there is simply no more overtime being paid out. There's just not much left to cut.
As for the problems, we are obliged to deliver to all addresses. Unlike the immoral and unethical UPS and FedEx, we can't dump mail into the competitor's box and make them deliver it! It is staggering to me UPS is allowed to do that. If you saw what they dumped on the PO, you'd find all sorts of mail going to Montana, North Dakota, etc. They don't want to deliver it, so they take advantage of the USPS's legal obligation and throw it our way and say "Have fun, boys" People are mailing less, faxing and emailing more, and yet the number of mailing addresses keeps increasing. Declining volume but increasing deliveries is hardly an inspiring business model. For all the geniuses out there carping on the PO, I ask you how that should be addressed. As for all the small local offices, the PO tries repeatedly to shut them, and then the local congressman will carry on like a Banshee. You simply can NOT make a corporation answerable to Congress and yet demand they compete with other corporations who answer only to their shareholders.
We Moved in Next Door to My Boyfriend's Mom {Lemondrop}
Dec 8th 2010 5:33PM Tramp. If you ever do end up married, what will you have? Someone who doesn't respect marriage. Of course, all the immoral people have all the answers, and the divorce rate skyrocketing has nothing to do with sexual immorality before marriage.
Writer Reflects on Three Decades Since Ultimate Cliffhanger 'Who Shot J.R.?' {PopEater}
Nov 26th 2010 3:08PM I always wondered who was responsible for that pitiful storyline. I never watched Dallas again after that episode. Without a doubt, the worst letdown to a great thriller setup in history.
Has Gold Standard Become Worthless? {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Nov 11th 2010 5:44AM I think Jeter is a touch overrated and his range is suspect. The hard part is quantifying that. Someone mentioned the pitching staff. I recall everyone going crazy over Ozzie Smith and the number of balls he fielded. Of course, he was playing behind a bunch of ground ball pitchers. It makes sense the team sought out that kind of pitcher, but the numbers were really inflated. If your pitching staff is all strikeout or flyball pitchers, you simply won't get the opportunities. If you had switched Dave Concepion and Ozzie Smith's pitching staffs, Ozzie's amazing range would have taken a mysterious drop. Of course, Ozzie was 5 7 and had to dive for balls an average height SS would field with their eyes closed. But those dives made for exciting plays and people didn't notice that a Concepion or Templeton made plays on the same ball look routine.
All that said, the numbers simply don't always tell the truth, and your eyes must tell you the range of the SS. My eyes tell me Jeter has lost a step, but I take the numbers with a grain of salt.

Nov 6th 2010 7:29PM Blacks have supported liberal politicians for the past 45 years. And what has it gotten them? And they continue to support them. More of the same. This is the epitome of insanity.
The Magic Word at Work {AOL Jobs}
Nov 3rd 2010 6:24PM //"Most companies and most managers feel as though they want their employees' attention toward the company... they want their focus, their energy, their drive for what they're trying to accomplish toward the company," said Holmes after learning from his earlier career mistake. //
People in hell want ice water. There is something SO wrong in this country. I can't believe kids go to college, end up 100K in debt, all for the privilege of working 60 hour weeks and making 40K a year. THIS is the fruits of the technological revolution?! For 20 years, the American corporate model has been to cut jobs and limit wages. Guess what. It ain't working.
