Monogamy -- Can't Live With It, Can't Live With ... Being Cheated On {Lemondrop}
Jul 15th 2010 12:11PM I agree with you 100%! I feel like lately it's been constant anti-monogamy articles. Can we get a good article about the GOOD things about monogamy (unfortunately, I'm an engineer, and I don't think anyone wants to read an article written by an engineer, haha)? If nothing else, but just to hear the other side of the argument?
Personally, I have no desire to cheat on my boyfriend, and I expect the same from him. Otherwise, what's the point of being in a relationship at all? When I wanted to sleep around with whomever, whenver, I called myself "SINGLE." But then, I found someone really worth being commited to and take their feelings into consideration and save all my lovin just for him. I think it's really a gift when you find someone who can complete you so much that you don't need to fool around with others.
Sloth Babies Are Deadly Cute {Lemondrop}
Jun 17th 2010 2:03PM OMG! SO CUTE!
I was in Costa Rica just last week (probably the best vacation ever) and saw a ton of sloths - some with babies - in the trees at the beaches at Manuel Antonio.
Eight Reasons Why You Can't Actually Quit Facebook {Lemondrop}
May 27th 2010 2:56PM yep, I quit facebook too. About 6 months ago. Don't really miss it at all. Now people actually have to talk to me by phone or in person and I don't obssess about what I'm missing out on (like when someone posts pics to a party that, turns out, you WEREN'T invited to). I actually spend way less time on the computer now and have more time for hobbies, life, and real people.

'I Want to Cheat on My Husband, but I Haven't Met the Right Guy' {Lemondrop}
Mar 24th 2010 12:41PM This is completely disgusting, selfish, and immature. Why the hell did this woman get married in the first place?? And what about the women who are going to be torn apart when they find out their men are on this site doing the same thing. Sure there aren't children involved, but there are still PEOPLE with feelings!!
When did marriage become such a joke to our society. It's very sad how little thought people give to the commitment they're giving to someone else. All too often, now days, it just becomes a big party with a fancy dress....so sad...
I'll Pay for Dinner, but I Won't Be Your Facebook Friend {Lemondrop}
Dec 16th 2009 4:54PM I love this article! This has been my dating stance for a while now. I am actually totally against "friending" a guy on Facebook before an exclusive relationship is established. Any info he wants about me before then he can get from talking to me. "De-friending" someone after a couple dates is weird (should I? Shouldn't I?).
I do think as a whole our society has lost alot of appreciation for face-to-face conversations and relationship. A really exciting part of life is human interaction! And so much is lost on electronic communication - facial expressions, hang gestures, body language, sarcasm, etc. I'm in a slow downgrading phase to go back to more personal contact.
Modern Dating Etiquette -- Dodging the Dreaded Drop-In {Lemondrop}
Dec 16th 2009 3:39PM HAHA, this post made me laugh. I've definately played dead for this reason and denied it later. And, just for your information, you can get updated versions of the Emily Post Etiquette book. My grandmother gave me one for Christmas last year - now it includes things like online dating and texting. Makes for an interesting read anyway.
Have You Ever Seen a Ghost? I Have. Let's Trade Stories. {Lemondrop}
Oct 29th 2009 1:33PM I was vacationing with my family in the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee when I was about 15. My parents had rented a beautiful cabin for a few nights. My sister (who was 14) and I got the bedroom in the basement which had an adjoining bathroom while my brother slept on a couch upstairs and my parents had the bedroom upstairs.
The first night my sister and I were awakened by the sound of someone walking downstairs and turning on the TV in the room next to our bedroom and going back upstairs. Not a big deal we thought, our brother had probably wandered down, stayed for a bit and gone back upstairs to sleep.
The second night, we were once again awakened by the sound of someone walking downstairs. This time, however, they opened our bedroom door (although we didn't see anyone) and walked back upstairs - way creepier than the first night, but still not a BIG deal.
The third night however, we lost it. The footsteps came downstairs again. Then nothing. Then footsteps in OUR BATHROOM. Then the sound of someone swishing around in the bathtub full of water as if enjoying a lovely soak. At this point we are holding our breaths hoping the sounds weren't real. The final straw was the sound of whoever - or whatever - standing up out of their bath and the wet foot hitting the tile floor.
We couldn't get up the stairs fast enough. We spend the rest of the night/day trying to investigate the source of the sounds with no luch. I have NEVER been so terrified in my life. That was 8 years ago and I still get chills just telling the story. I wish my sister could argue with me and tell me I had been making this up. NOPE.
