Hot Professors 'Hate' the Attention -- Men, Welcome to Life As a Woman {Lemondrop}

Aug 13th 2010 1:58AM If this sort of treatment is unfair to women, then it's unfair to men too. We're not some sort of magical hive-mind - you can't just say "Oh, well, men have been doing this to women for ages, so it's fair turn-about."

Also, regarding the professor we're apparently not supposed to feel sorry for, he's probably worried about his job if he accidentally hits on a student or something. Also... I hate to be the one saying it, but if it were a woman getting those notes, there'd be talk of sexual harassment here. For some reason I don't see it in this article. Care to explain?

Should You Tell Your Boyfriend Who You Slept With During a 'Break'? {Lemondrop}

Should You Tell Your Boyfriend Who You Slept With During a 'Break'? {Lemondrop}

May 30th 2010 3:17AM Were they broken up at the time, or was she cheating on him with his best friend? Those are pretty different things...

I Was Bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider {Asylum}

Apr 12th 2010 2:52AM Apparently, putting echinacea on the bite soon after being bitten more or less stops the decay. So says a friend of mine who's been bitten repeatedly.

I Quit My Sorority Because They Accused Me of Being Anorexic {Lemondrop}

Mar 19th 2010 3:52PM Joining my (co-ed) fraternity was one of the best decisions I made in college. it was nothing like the stereotypes - we really did function a lot like a big family (not to mention, playing D&D with my brothers at weird hours of the night was pretty awesome). To be fair, we were largely outside of the main Greek social structure on our campus, but still - not every fraternity or sorority is bad.

Miller Lite Commercial About a Girl, a Beer and a Cliff Gets Our Goat {Lemondrop}

Feb 6th 2010 3:59AM ...This commercial makes men seem like sociopathic alcoholics. I'm pretty sure guys have more of a right to be offended - seriously, needy vs. willing to leave his girlfriend to die so that he can drink?

That said... it's parody. Stupid, but still mildly amusing. Both characters in this parody are preposterous.

Hooray! Casual Sex Doesn't Cause Any Kind of Emotional Damage {Lemondrop}

Dec 11th 2009 12:17AM ...That doesn't prove that casual sex doesn't cause emotional damage. It just shows that for that group, in the short term, it didn't alter their emotional state. It doesn't speak to factors like, say... how many people have self-selected out of having casual sex because for them it proved to be damaging. I'd be interested to see a long-term study that watched people as they started having casual sex and see where that led.

Invisibility Technology Is Here at Last (Kinda)! {Lemondrop}

Dec 8th 2009 6:37PM They actually *are* working on invisibility technology. It only works on microwaves so far and not visible light, but it's progress. You can probably find some articles about it on ScienceDaily or somewhere similar.

I Moved for a Guy -- and I'm Not Bad Feminist Because of It {Lemondrop}

Oct 22nd 2009 1:58AM Yes.

I'm glad that you were able to make your own decision, and I'm glad that you benefited from it. If anything, making a decision as one person who cares enough about another person to take them into account when deciding on how to organize their life seems a lot more feminist than staying because he's a man and you shouldn't do things for a man. Bravo!
