Did Mary J. Blige Disrespect America? {Lemondrop}

Nov 5th 2009 2:01PM CJ, I think you're absolutely right on, girl. I think that wearing sunglasses to sing the National Anthem was incredibly disrespectful, and though I love Mary J. - I have to say that I thought her rendition was only so-so. It's a gorgeous song, and it's also really hard to sing, as it usually covers the complete range of a singer's voice.
Also, I thought the whole point of having the National Anthem sung before games was so the entire stadium could join in? That's probably a bit nerdy of me, but I miss the days of singing the anthem at the beginning of sporting events and on the 4th of July.

Super patriotic and disappointed in Ms. Blige.

(Important: the friend in question feels the same). Too risky or right on the money?

Since October is my birthday month, I have always really enjoyed Halloween - I used to have scavenger hunt costume parties as a kid.

First - I friggin' LOVE you.
Second - Even us Norweigian/German/Welsh born lasses have chin and toe hair, thankfully, for my sake only some of it is dark enough to be obvious.

You ARE a saucy one.

Thanks for the belly laugh, and for the chuckles I know will continue for the rest of the day.
