No common sense in there..we need jobs, so we can purchase, food, housing, insurance, and clothing...clothing is big business....the cheap fabrics are made into products and we purchase ...Oh what I would give for a pair of orignal Levis made here in the 70's.

I have a pair of the Shape Ups and wear Earth Shoes...with the negative heel...I can't wear shoes with heels because of back trouble...Negative heels feel good to me. They put your body in alignment like walking in sand. Sad the negative heels are so ugly but comfort wins over in my case.

My stocks just kept going down...and finally was purchased by another company...still not sure what's going on there . Seems like a law suit of sorts with the new cell company. I figure every dime I have in that will be gone soon. So, if you have the funds to risk on yet another one of Sir Bransons invest ventures...well...good luck to you.

Dec 15th 2009 7:19AM If we could get some of the factories back and get people working there wouldn't be a need to raise taxes, send people to school.
Lots of people are falling between the established cracks and are sinking even more. We have not seen any benefit from the stimulas packages. We are in our 50's have lost big in stocks, no tax write off, lost jobs and now working for less...behind on everything...then the creditors call all the time wanting pay and calling us names...now, that crap needs to stop...oh and we could get foreclosed on. We where looking at retirement at age 55 and starting a business.

Is there any help out there for people our age?
