With NFL Threat Looming, CFL Launches 'This Is Our League' Ad Campaign {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Sep 9th 2008 12:29AM Is the CFL really so weak that putting one NFL team in Canada would put the entire league out of business?
As an Buffaloian who has watched the situation, I'd have to say yes. It would be like the MLB, if suddenly the Yankees disappeared.
the "Toronto Bills" would take money away from the biggest CFL market in Canada and nearly destroy another one that is half way between Buffalo and Toronto (Hamilton)
MSNBC About to 'Blow Up'? {Politics Daily}
Aug 29th 2008 1:35AM MSNBC problems can be summed up in two words.....
Tim Russert.
Hot Seat: Feminists Against Clinton? {Politics Daily}
Feb 5th 2008 12:35PM What type of message would it sent to little girls everywhere if Hillary is elected President.
"Do you want to get ahead, become president?" Then all you have to do is marry a former president and stand by her no matter what.
In a twisted way it's a form of prostiution. Hillary marries Bill (and by extention has sex with him) and as a result she gets a shot at being president.
Hillary Cannot Be Stopped Redux {AOL Elections Blog}
Sep 29th 2007 8:53PM What part of the words "JOE BIDEN" is so hard for you people to figure out?
He's smart, experianced, can win votes from people who want a long term occupation of Iraq and a withdrawl, (depending on how Iraq turns out).
And while some people talk about compromising with the GOP, *coughObamacough* Biden has actually done it! He's done with with Social security and Iraq.
Texas Goes Too Far, Testing High Schoolers for Steroids {Fanhouse Backporch}
May 30th 2007 2:12AM Regardless of what some people may believe sports matter in high school. Like it or not, they provide a place for people who may not be as good in traditional school skills to feel good about themselves. Much the same way that art, band, and chorus do as well. As well as more respected extra curricular activities such as science fair's, volunteer organizations, and alcohol educuation organizations.
Speaking as someone who competed with and against steroid users, I think this is a great policy and should be expanded across the country. Used properly sports are a great tool to teach kids how to be grown up, cheating is not part of that equation.
2007 NFL Draft: Day 1 Winners {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Apr 29th 2007 9:33AM I am throughly surprised Buffalo is not getting more props for what they did. Well not really, it is Buffalo afterall.
Lynch is a good value pick.
Poz was projected as high as our first round draft pick, and we got him in the second.
and Edwards was one of the most highly touted QBs after Qinn and Russel and we got hime in the third.
Chargers Consider Michael Turner Trade {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Apr 27th 2007 4:12PM Considering that James and Alexander could net no more then a second rounder, and McGahee was worth only two thirds, how does Smith get off thinking somebody is going to give up a 1st for this guy?
Turner A Hot Property {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Mar 31st 2007 2:33PM Buffalo should wait to see if they can get Peterson in the draft before they go after Turner.
But a two headed monster featuring Turner and A-Train sounds like fun
Did McCain Nearly Leave the GOP? {AOL Elections Blog}
Mar 30th 2007 2:11PM McCain-Lieberman 2008?
Seriously we could use someone who is not as pro war/stubborn/stupid as Bush and not basing National Security decisions (such as going into Iraq and leaving Iraq) based on opinion polls!
Pictures Say It All: See, They Can Just Get Along {AOL Elections Blog}
Mar 30th 2007 12:22AM It's a shame polticians (especially the ones in the white house right now) can't be this genuine all the time. The (well deserved) perception of Bush as someone who is stubborn and refuses to admit mistakes is killing his presidentcy almost as much as the Iraqi war.
