Nov 9th 2010 5:26PM I didn't think of it as stalkery until I saw this post but I suppose it can be viewed that way. I didn't realize you could "see the friendship" of people other than your own friends. I like the feature for myself - looking at my friendship pages with different people, I'm reminded of things we've done together, events we attended and photos buried deep in the mounds of facebook albums I've uploaded or been tagged in.

Will I check out other people's friendships now that I know I can though? Probably. Hence the "stalkeryness" of it all.

May 21st 2010 4:31PM I don't think it's as black and white as some are making it out to be. There aren't just women who love for love's sake and women who love for money. There has got to be some grey area in there.
I think people are looking for a lot of things including material wealth, security, power, peace of mind and status. Tell me that you don't want any of those things. Should you date someone solely to get those things from them? I'd hope not. But just because a woman like Lisa Raye isn't afraid to say that she desires power and status in a man equal or above her own, doesn't mean she ought to be deemed a hoe.
For me, the labeling of people as whores, hoes, sluts, etc is getting really old. Just because he/she doesn't do as I do doesn't mean I have to go about putting them down. Keep your moral judgment to yourself.

Sep 3rd 2009 8:31AM I don't know if this is grace under pressure or backpedaling 101. So a Master's instead of a Ph.D.? Then why are you letting articles call you Dr. Shante? Why are you referring to yourself as Dr. Shante on blogs and twitter? It's a bit too late to go the Dr. Dre route, I think.

I don't know why Slate chose this story to go after, but they did turn up some pretty good evidence.
I have two degrees and currently working on a third. I have all my diplomas and if someone came a knockin' I'd be able to produce them as well as get the registrar on the phone to back me up. So far, Roxanne Shante's got none of that.
We'll see....
