Feb 4th 2010 12:23PM You think genetically modified food will help starving people? Bio tech companies make GMO's so they can make more money pure and simple. Just look at the US. Monsanto makes Roundup ready corn--> farmers overproduce it--> the price drops so farmers can't support themselves-- they get welfare (of course they call it subsidies)
Meanwhile the American people are fatter than they've ever been, because cheap food is crappy food.
All the while Monsanto is making billions, and the billions of hungry people in the world are still hungry.

Palin photographer breached contract with sale to Newsweek {Daily Finance}
Nov 18th 2009 5:14PM This photo on the Newsweek cover to convey the point that Sarah Palin does not have anything of substance to add to the Republican Party, her rhetoric just comes in an attractive charismatic package.
I do think Newsweek acted in poor taste by choosing this photo, but Palin has nothing to complain about. She posed for this photo to be printed in a national publication, and now she's mad that the photo was used by a national publication.

Nov 15th 2009 12:52AM If all the people in the world were given, I believe 1/2 an acre to live on, you could fit the entire population in an area about the size of Texas.
Um Paul I think Texas is a little smaller than 3.3 billion acres.
