Time for Schools to Pay Mouths That Feed Them Megabucks {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}
Oct 16th 2010 3:07PM College athletes should be paid for their revenue generating efforts on the field. Now what many people are pushing for is for the schools to pay the players. That should not be the case. Like the article says, most schools dont even generate profits from athletics. While the schools may not, the conferences do. The conferences are the ones really making the money, (Billions from television networks) in this current situation, so they should be the ones paying the $500 stipend that has been the number flying around as acceptable. By having the conferences responsible for the universal salary of the players it would eliminate any chance for schools to take advantage of this to help recruiting. Just like the ROTC cadets ON SCHOLARSHIP get their stipend, so too should college athletes in revenue generating sports for the conferences.

Oct 5th 2009 8:05PM Chris, if darwin were around he would realize how out of hand his purposed beliefs had gotten. He would let you all know the lies that which he started that sent man on a downward spiral to hell.
