Rosanne Cash Keeps the Rest of 'The List' Private {Spinner}
Oct 11th 2009 7:21PM Tie -- if you didn't "give a crap," why did you read the article? If I'm not interested, I skip to something that DOES interest me -- only people with tiny minds read something solely for the purpose of trying to demean those who enjoy it. Grow up, take whatever you consider to be music, and shut yourself away in a hole somewhere.
Rosanne Cash Keeps the Rest of 'The List' Private {Spinner}
Oct 11th 2009 7:18PM Well, yes, there ARE other things to think about -- but if someone enjoys knowing what Johnny Cash thought was essential country music, who are YOU to criticize them? If you're not interested and think it's not worthwhile, fine. You have the option to ignore the CD (and not read the article, I should add. If you didn't have any interest, why would you read it when there are so many OTHER things to think about??) Let each person pursue what interests them, and you go about pursuing what that which you think is appropriate. Keep your judgments to yourself and live in the microcosm that you inhabit...
'Bridezillas' May Result in Jail Time {Lemondrop}
Aug 5th 2009 1:55PM So...right away, because the nasty, temperamental pig is black, it's racist? SHE agreed to be on the show. SHE agreed to be herself. If you're a jerk, you just ARE one. It doesn't matter what color you are. Her happening to be black only defames the decent African Americans out there. She, herself, is gangsta ghetto trash and she deserves to be in jail because she's just plain violent. Maybe someone should do us all a favor and snap HER neck.
Potent Quotables: Kanye Wants the Crown {Spinner}

at 8-01-2009Actually, the term "Pop" music is short for Popular music and unfortunately, Rap is our "Pop" music.
Not in MY book, it's not, and not for a WHOLE lot of others, either. Rap is essentially a monotonous, stupid poem with obscenities that some uninformed idiots consider an art form. If I want to hear someone yell, sound like they're at the bottom of a trashcan, and swear, I can go around the corner from my house and listen to the ghetto rats. What Kanye doesn't understand is that essentially, he's one lucky idiot who convinced some stupid sheep that his crap is worth paying for, but those of us who have taste and education know that he is merely a loud-mouthed minority, screaming to be noticed. He's nothing.
Anorexic Identical Twins Get Intervention {Lemondrop}
Jun 19th 2009 10:50PM People like you are scary, and you have no empathy. As a person suffering a medically-diagnosed mental illness, I can tell you this: telling someone to go and serve a charity or stop thinking of themselves is easy to do, but the "just go and do something nice for someone and get over it" mentality is ignorant and useless. People with mental issues need medical intervention, not glib comments from someone who believes that they are the next Dr. Joyce Brothers. Do you go around telling cancer patients that they could get over their disease if they did philanthropic work? Do you tell AIDS victims that they should snap out of it and think themselves well? It's the same thing, whether you can understand it in your little closed room of a mind or not.
Maybe, in order to gain some understanding of mental illness, YOU should do some volunteer work with people who suffer from mental illness, instead of sitting behind your computer on your backside, hurling uninformed opinions at the general public. Your attitude stinks, and unless you get some education on and understand this subject, you should stay in your own tiny corner of the world and stop annoying the rest of us with your callousness.
Michael Jackson Surprises Guests at Dixie Chick's Party {The Boot}
Nov 7th 2008 1:57PM I think Jackson has plenty of nerve crashing her party, but let's face it -- Natalie Maines really likes to get attention, and feels that her opinion is of terribly high importance. Whether she complains or not, she was still quoted, and that's what she LOVES...
Tell her to have someone at the door for her parties so that uninvited guests can't enter. God knows she has enough money to pay someone...
Notable/Quotable: Erykah Badu {BV Newswire}
Apr 26th 2008 8:27AM Audra said: "Well, speaking as someone of color who's always on time, it's about respect. Keeping people waiting just because you can, is just plain ol ignorant. People who do this appear to wallow in self importance." Amen! It's a shame when society worships people who are so self-centered and applauds their behavior by buying their records and continuing to inflate their opinion that the world would stop turning without them. Thanks for adding that comment, Audra. You're right on track.
Notable/Quotable: Erykah Badu {BV Newswire}
Apr 26th 2008 8:25AM Interesting..."time is for white people." Now, imagine what would've happened if a non-black singer said "time is for black people." There would've been an outrage. I agree with Mark Elliot's remark, "How do black people expect for racisim to stop when they keep giving white people a reason to be? If you want respect girl friend, you better give some."
Part of the reason the world is the way it is today is because people expect respect without giving any reason to respect them: they speak as if they have no education or regard for the way they present themselves, they act belligerent, and they come across as "in your face," making thoughtless comments that make them look arrogant and ugly. But don't "disrespect" them; we're supposed to make them our heroes. No wonder the kids of today (and some adults, too) seem to be on a fast train to nowhere but shiftless self-centeredness. My admiration for Badyu is over. She can rot with the rest of the "me-generation" folks she looks up to.
Former Patriot Kenyatta Jones Arrested, 'He Attempted to Urinate on the Dance Floor' {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Apr 1st 2008 7:59AM Another shining moment for professional football...these guys are rolling in bucks, but insist on acting like animals...
Just goes to show you that money usually only makes you more of what you were before you had it. And as Bill Cosby used to say of alcohol, "What if you already WERE an A**hole?" Sports figures like him are a waste of space and money. Stupid hog.
