Mar 19th 2009 6:41PM lets not all be obtuse here,simon is a genius,you may not like him but he knows what sells and hes almost always right.it makes sense that if this girl was marketable he would have saved her....and lets not pretend he really doesnt get final say......so what if he tipped his hand to her about saving her,thats allowed.but its what she did with that knowledge that sealed her fate.....we know the judges did not like the song,but the also gave her advice about how to change that(not sound like dolly and make it edgier)so what does she do???? she sings it the same,and worse at that,out of tune and stands in front of the judges as if she is pleading to them as she sings it....the result....no save.....you get one chance,you can take their advice and show you are all about making it,you can sing the song better even if youre nervous as hell and show when the chips are down you can be counted on and you can take their advice by putting a personal spin on it showing you were listening....she did none of that,she dropped the ball......a real star woudnt have....you get one chance,fame is fleeting and unforgiving,grab it or get out of my line of vision,im trying to see stars get made

Feb 21st 2009 9:35AM i have been buying girl scout cookies for a lifetime,and each year i ask"when will you come out with sugar free cookies for diebetics"and i always get this look like i came from a fat planet.if they are so afraid of profit loss and the bottom line then start making cookies for the other HUGE percentage of the population who has sugar issued.......their sales will go throught the roofs just from people long awaiting the sugar free samosa.
