- not "charges" but true - for an advanced study research case. They get the benefit and kudos for finding solutions and cures but I'd have to show evidence of having $10,000 in the bank in order to get in the door because I'm on Medicare and from a neighboring state with no research hospital.

Jul 15th 2010 6:39AM I have a rare combination of conditions that can't be treated by my local doctor. I was referred to Hopkins only to find out that they won't accept Medicare patients out-of-state.
Perhaps they are rated so highly because they choose their patients based on probably success and ability to pay.

As far as your premise regarding illegals "taking" "our" jobs - just who does the hiring?? If there were no jobs - they'd be less likely to come!
So blame the white employers, not the poor folks, who like your European ancestors, came to this country for a new start. Unlike the current immigrants, your ancestors bullied their way into the country, pushed the REAL Americans aside and simply took what they wanted.
