Feb 5th 2010 10:24PM The guy isn't saying that ALL women do this or that women who order salads HAVE to order something else. He's saying, order what you want and enjoy it. Don't order something then posture around and act like a whiny Diet Angel.

And I totally second that but would like to add it doesn't just apply to dates. I'm a woman and I've been around other women who've done that crap. One was a cousin who'll eat a piece of pizza-one of the itty bitty half inch slivers-and then will say "Oh, I can't believe I ate all that! I'll have to walk four miles tomorrow!"

Trust and believe growing up with that girl was a true test of patience.

I don't believe in religion but I do believe very strongly in God and in following His path in this life. God's message is one of love, peace, knowledge, truth, justice and freedom. It is the Devil who wants hatred, war, ignorance, lies, tyranny and oppression.

These so-called children of God who are fighting gay marriage, who are spreading ignorance, pain and hatred, will someday find out they were fighting in the Devil's army and may God have mercy on their souls.

Dec 13th 2009 10:05AM The columnist wasn't saying the woman was to blame for the rape, she wasn't saying the guy shouldn't be punished or was in the "right" or that she deserved it. She was saying this woman was responsible for her own safety and that she put herself in a dangerous situation WHICH SHE IS AND WHICH SHE DID. As a result, she was raped. Again, that doesn't make it right or OK. It doesn't mean she deserved it or that the guy shouldn't be punished or he had a "right" to do it. It just means that as an adult, she is responsible for her own actions. As an adult, she should know better than to put herself into a dangerous situation. There are so many magazines, TV shows, books and God knows what else saying that if women go to bars, parties or anywhere else that is serving booze, use the buddy system. She could have protected herself but didn't. Then she writes to the columnist looking for some other whiny, immature so-called feminist to kiss her butt and agree that the guy was an evil horrible man (which he is) and she is just a sweet innocent victim (which she ISN'T). Thank God this woman stood up and said the truth. I am so sick and tired of so-called "feminists" saying women can get a free ride through life, that we're not responsible for our own actions and protraying ourselves as perfect angels and men as dogs and trash. And we wonder why the divorce rate is so high in this country...

Any person (man or woman) who does one night stands, gets an STD and claims he/she was "unsuspecting" is an idiot and got what they deserved. If someone is too stupid or lazy to educate themselves about the risks of casual sex and how to protect themselves and others, they're shouldn't be having sex (casual or otherwise).

*only exception is if someone was raised in a bubble environment like the FLDS cult and doesn't know how the real world works. Then I do feel sorry for them.

Jun 4th 2009 4:45AM I believe every woman has a choice, however, for myself I doubt I could ever get an abortion. I think it's different for every woman and I think background (family, religion, etc.) plays into it, but I believe it's personality as well. And I don't mean "bad" people don't feel guilty and "good" people do. I mean, I grew up in a liberal, modern family. But I'm a mix of liberal and conservative, traditional and modern. However a woman feels about abortion, whether for or against, whether she feels regret or not, it's a decision on HER shoulders ONLY because it's her body, her life and her money, first and foremost. Ideally, children would only be brought into the world by an act of love, when both people are ready for children. But that isn't the case. I think we all need to remember 1-there's the idea of a perfect world and then there's the real world, 2-there's a difference between belief and fact. And this country should be based on fact, which doesn't change, not belief which is so varied and different.

Jun 4th 2009 4:17AM So, was this supposed to be a knock against pro-Choice? Because here in Utah, there are a lot of stories of Mormon bishops turning a blind eye to sexual abuse within the Church. And the LDS "religion" is as conservative as it gets. But my main problem with this so-called experiment, is that this woman is using rape to ferret out the "evils" of the pro-choice movement. Basically, using it as a weapon. And anyone, but ESPECIALLY a woman, who would use rape and sexual assault as a weapon is worthless trash.

May 17th 2009 8:29PM So, because I'm usually only attracted to white and Native American men, I'm somehow prejudiced against all other races. Because of the media. Never mind I'm part Hispanic and prefer to think using my own mind rather than someone else's. Huh. Interesting.
