May 5th 2009 7:16PM I say wait and see if your SO is concerned about their own weight. If they are, let them know that you are willing to support them in whatever they decide to do. Concentrate on the health aspects of weight loss. Discuss it only when they're comfortable with discussing it - don't nag. Genuinely compliment them on other aspects of their appearance(no back-handed compliments, i.e. "You have such a pretty face, if only..."), and on other factors. Remind them how much you love them. Otherwise, get over yourself.

Apr 29th 2009 11:33PM I get what you're trying to say, but you phrased it the wrong way. No one is arguing that grief after abortion happens. The problem is, "pro-lifers" are using the term "post-abortion syndrome", when in reality it is not a diagnosable disorder.
Also, the amount of grief that comes from abortion is often dependent on other factors, such as mental disorders and how wanted the baby was.
