I Love the Name, but Hate the Nickname {ParentDish}
Nov 27th 2009 11:59PM My son is Lee Gage, aftet his father, "Lee', our intentions were to have him calle dby his middle name "Gage" as his name. Teachers called him Lee and he never corrected it. In High School, he is now called Lee in Jr and elem. school, I was able to maintain "Gage" at home and all his friends call him Gage. So this article has alot of truth to "it is up to the child" If the child does not correct the person, he ill soon ahve a new name...
Good luck.
Phil Spector Terrified of His Fellow Inmates {Spinner}
Aug 23rd 2009 2:07AM A publicist knows better than to publish that. He did it to make Spector a target by other inmates so he would have a better chance of getting moved to another prison, maybe one closer to his wife...
I hope they dont buy it...

Newsweek Slams Contemporary Country {The Boot}
Apr 17th 2009 1:36AM I miss the country of the 70's and 80's. I am 31 years old and my IPOD is full of Conway, Janie Frickie, Mearle, JOhnny Lee, Patsy Cline, Glen Campbell, B.J. Thomas, Earl Thomas Conley, Dan Seals (r.i.p.)... but George Strait is KING!
That was when country was GOOD. Today it is all about who you are & how you look. If you look good, you could sing a song about throw up and it will be a hit. It is all about whose a$$ they kiss as to whether or not they gey a hit. I mean, come on, "traffic light turned straight to red" That would never happen... I am embarassed for country music.
There are very few good songs out. I thing David Lee Murphy and Phil Vassar was two of the last few good artists. I rarely listen to the radio, if I do, it is a rock and roll oldies station now, never the country channel. I cant tell you when the last time was I listened to the country channel. And I was born and raised country. I keep hoping it will turn around, but I guess I will keep my IPOD plugged in for now...
