May 5th 2010 3:54PM I'm getting a little unnerved that society thinks its okay to be in the teens for sizes. No, people shouldn't be a size 00, but they also shouldnt be a size 18 and be proud of it. Nothing proud about being dead at 45 from heart disease or diabetes. I could be a 16 too if i wanted, I just choose not be. I have a family, I'm work toward a Phd, I'm a teacher, and yet I still find time to work out and eat healthy. Stop using the "average size" as an excuse to be lazy. Put down the damn pizza and get grilled chicken with veggies.
Mar 28th 2010 4:58PM $250K a year? Think again - Perhaps if you're there for 5 years. I attend Harvard at its around $40,000 a year, however, almost everyone receives A LOT of financial aid they don't have to pay back.
Oct 5th 2009 7:45PM You are correct - there is no way they can be considered plus size at 8-14. However, to say that people who are size 18-22 should start modeling, would be just as detrimental to adolescents as models with anorexia or bulimia. Binge eating is an eating disorder too, and obesity is our number one health concern right now.
Apr 9th 2009 2:06PM Kathy - Just because it's you're believe doesn't mean its right or wrong. What's right to one person may be wrong to you and vice versa. I'm a health teacher and thats the number 1 thing i don't do to my students - preach.
