Oct 2nd 2010 6:49AM I think this should be a message to parents that we should stress to our children that nothing is ever worth killing oneself over, and that we would always accept them no matter what. I feel like this kid was probably thinking about how ashamed his family would be when they heard about this. I pray my kids know that no matter what happens to them, no matter how embarrassing, that I'd never judge them and would always support them and help them. I'm not saying Tyler's parents didn't do that, I'm just saying we should probably all have the "suicide is never worth it" talk with our kids at least once. We all think "oh, not my kid" because it seems so unthinkable.

Aug 11th 2010 2:20PM I am about 4 pounds into clinical obesity. It's not healthy. I'm working on it. I think people ought to know at exactly what weight they go from normal to overweight and from overweight to obese. It's not about vanity or being shallow, it's a public health issue. I realize that for some people, the BMI system isn't 100% accurate, but it is a helpful guideline. If you check your BMI and it says you're overweight or obese, you probably are. You can't blame it all on a little extra muscle or big bones.

One day you're getting prime shifts at a high end club, fast forward to the end of your career when you're lucky to get the lunch shift at a crappy dive...lol.

Are you giving your child an unusual name, but you know the meaning and the origin, or it's after a place or quality that you love? That's not so bad. Sometimes I think people give kids weird names just because they like the sound of them, but the name has no meaning. And messing with the spelling is silly in my opinion.

I've been perfectly faithful to my husband. I just don't see how it's really cheating if you're not married. Maybe it's not very nice, but it's not that bad.
