I am not a figure skater, but the logic is the same. All the skaters could have skated on the lowest level 1 or 2, and be flawless, and this would not make this an enjoyable sport to watch or easy to judge. It is with risks come rewards of greatness, to jump higher, to jump farther, run faster , or longer, it is the glimpse that an act is possible, rather what can be done can be perfected, is what is important to humanity. It is no surprise this hodge and podge of awkward and physically challenged females get no viewership for skills. Much like men do not sit around the house and watch Jr High School Boys Basketball Championship. The author asked a question of whether or not men would prefer to watch high quality ugly women basketball, or low quality hot women basketball - a better question is - watch high quality men basketball, or high quality feminized basketball.

While the masses below, will ultimately cave in to the Title IX manifest in spirit, they will not uphold it with their disposable income. Hence the WNBA is doomed, and is currently in the "Let's all watch womens basketball before we come back to our senses" state.

For me, homosexuals ( especially lesbians ) represent portions of our society that are artificially either kept alive, or protected. Kinda of like the elderly, the disabled, or otherwise people not best adapted for survival. They become prevalent or more prevalent than usual, where societies are wealthy enough to allow them exist, and ordered enough to protect them.

Truth be told, in the rest of the world, ...this argument we hold, is not relevant - people die sooner ( Africa, India, ..etc ), Disabled people get no parking spots ( Africa..etc ), and as for lesbians , I doubt males care if they are lesbians or not, ( Arab countries, Africa, Asia,).

So I'm sure like you said, lesbians have to be resourceful, and they probably are, unfortunately for them they will always live in the shadow of a dominant heterosexual society, that in itself has to be prosperous enough to allow them to exist. This sort of understanding gives homosexuals an aura of a handicapped citizen.

I think society has nothing against pretty lesbians, or accomplished lesbians for that matter. In reality it's the garden type, ugly, unaccomplished lesbians that are sore eyes for the society. Think of it as: the stupid insignificant heterosexual masses rejoycing at the fact there is a stupid and even more insignificant homosexual mass of people that can be abused.
