Labradoodle Creator Has Massive Regrets Over the Craze He Started {Pawnation OLD}
May 7th 2010 4:20PM Our goldendoodle Hobbes is an irreplaceable member of our family. He's smart, loving, playful AND he doesn't trigger our allergies or asthma. That said, we invested a considerable amount of research and money into getting him. We went to one of the most reputable breeders in the country (one who also breeds them as service dogs). If the breeder isn't willing to furnish the parents' papers, a list of existing customers and give you a tour of their facilities--don't go there. And like most situations, you usually get what you pay for.
Note to Men -- Do Not Attempt a 'Man Makeover'; Makeup Isn't Sexy {Lemondrop}
Feb 18th 2010 6:40AM There is that happy medium. I think the makeover would have been great...if they'd just skipped the makeup. The haircut and contacts--even a little eyebrow control--are all fine. The makeup was...well, what were they thinking?

Michael Jackson Jokes Cut From 'Bruno' {Moviefone Blog}
Jun 27th 2009 9:17AM Reading the comments that support leaving the bit in by saying, "Michael Jackson was being ridiculed when he was alive--why take it out now," I find that I disagree. I would hope that, for at least some, it's not a matter of hypocrisy but a wake-up call that, as a society, we've become way too mean-spirited. We've developed a culture in which we're becoming bullies--making ourselves feel better by making others feel worse. Maybe some of us are feeling a little ashamed of how we bullied Michael Jackson in particular...because, really, we should.
Hard Rock Park is dead. Long live 'Freestyle Music Park' {WalletPop}
Apr 13th 2009 5:06PM P.S. This is what comes of frantic typing. That's Moody Blues...not Pink Floyd. I apologize to rock fans around the world.
Hard Rock Park is dead. Long live 'Freestyle Music Park' {WalletPop}
Apr 13th 2009 4:54PM I don't know what saddens me more...the name they picked (Who was the rocket scientist that came up with Freestyle Music Park? Say it five times fast--I dare ya.) or the loss of the rock focus. My son and I went last year. Yes, it needed to expand; yes, the $50 pricetag took a bite out of the budget; but what was there was GREAT. The Led Zeppelin coaster was my favorite of any theme park (replacing the Aerosmith coaster at Disney) and the Pink Floyd "Knights in White Satin" was by far the most original.
It was a great alternative for families with kids who are too old for Disney and too young to be turned loose (i.e. tweens and teens). My knowledge of the '60s, '70s and '80s bands made me cooler in my 13-year-old son's eyes--something that any parent will tell you is not easy to come by. We both had fun.
The identity may not have been right for the Snow White set, but it definitely had its market--it just needed to offer more than half a park.
Now with the loss of its name (Thank you, Steven Goodwin) and its focus, I fear the park will go from lite to lights out.
Brad Pitt's Best & Worst Movie Roles {Moviefone Blog}
Dec 26th 2008 10:14PM How does Legends of the Fall not rank as one of Pitt's very best roles? Didn't he win a Golden Globe for that film?
Would you light your kid's cigarette? {ParentDish}
Aug 6th 2006 10:51PM For me this is a no brainer. She broke the law--it's right there in a photo. She needs to be arrested (along with her daughter). Being a celebrity makes no difference...at last it shouldn't.
More than that, she broke the code of motherhood. 17 or not, that girl is her baby and she needs to take care of her--typically that would NOT include helping her consume something that kills people.
I am most disturbed by the pose that Griffiths is striking. Has anyone else noticed that she is trying so hard to look so cool? It's like she's still a kid herself when in fact she's old enough to know better.
She needs to stop being a buddie and be a parent.
