Is Megan Fox Bad for Women? {Lemondrop}
Jul 19th 2009 9:17AM The thing that really irritates me is how whenever a woman expresses dislike or disapproval of Megan Fox, people attack her as being a "jealous bitch". Why is it not okay for a woman to have a legitimate concern for how this "actress" portrays the female sex? I, personally, am not jealous of the way Megan Fox looks, because she looks like she's had plastic surgery and looks like your typical, generic, Hollywood sex symbol. Totally unreal and unoriginal. I think many women feel that way...that doesn't make them jealous. Also, Megan Fox is not the root cause of women being objectified...she just perpetuates it. She sustains the belief that in order to be attractive, a woman must be unrealistically perfect-looking, wear as few clothes as possible, pose in a risque fashion, and act like a total dunce. Sure, it makes women mad when their men drool over her, because it makes it seem that all men care about is what's on the slutty surface. What happened to the days when men liked beautiful, not sexy, classy, not slutty, intelligence, not simple mindedness, and self respect as opposed to self exposure in a woman? I pity this poor starlet, because she sells herself out for her body. It's almost like prostitution. The human body is a beautiful thing, something to be respected and revered, not plastered all over a movie screen and sold out so that people can drool, degrade, and devalue it. It only leads to objectification, and Megan Fox plays right along.

May 19th 2009 10:39AM That is totally badass! I've often wanted to do the same thing in the restrooms of my highschool...it's truly a shame when someone can't even spell profanity correctly.
Coping Method or Crazy Town -- Man Adopts Wife's Aborted Fetuses {Lemondrop}
Apr 26th 2009 10:56PM Jenny,
I think that it is very unrealistic to claim that the guilt that countless women feel after an abortion is totally due to the pro life movement "besetting" them on all sides or "projecting moral/religious views" on them. Many women who are initially confident about their decision to abort regret it later based on the intrinsic instinct that they have taken a life. Just read Geneva's comment...she says she was surrounded by a pro-choice environment and still feels the guilt of taking her child's life. And interestingly enough, one may stop to think that if countless individuals are telling one that something is wrong, then hey, perhaps it may actually be wrong! A novel idea, I know. Additionally, saying that people shouldn't shouldn't express their religious or moral views is oppressive, unrealistic, and part of the liberal moral relativism that allows people to justify any action, no matter how decrepit or unhealthy.
Coping Method or Crazy Town -- Man Adopts Wife's Aborted Fetuses {Lemondrop}
Apr 24th 2009 8:58AM Control? Excuse me? I didn't see anything in the article that said anything about "others" instilling guilt in this poor woman. The pain she feels is a product of her own guilty conscience. How cruel of you to try to negate what she feels by claiming it is the product of someone else's "control". Unfortunately, the real source of this negative control over women is the massive abortion industry (overwhelmingly operated by men, mind you) which urges women to lay down their bodies to a surgical procedure that violently destroys their unborn children. And for what purpose? To help women? I odn't think so. For profit. That is all the pro-abortion movement is about. Profiting from death.
Two Women Create Award-Winning Virginity Video Game {Lemondrop}
Mar 30th 2009 11:38AM I think that, although it's great that women have made a success in a male-dominated field, this game is an absolute disgrace. A game about losing your virginity? seriously, how much more morally decrepit can society get? Instead of proving that women can be just as successful as men, the creators of this game have only confirmed the common stereotype that exists in so many male-oriented video games: that women are nothing more than the object of sexual desire, and they should pursue nothing beyond being deemed "sexually appealing". Promoting promiscuity like this is disgusting, unoriginal, and disappointing.
