Light Bulbs Advertised as 'Green' Contain Arsenic and Lead: Study {WalletPop}

Woman and Baby Kicked Off United Flight {AOL Travel News}

Jan 29th 2011 11:24PM I was on a flight from Pittsburgh to San Francisco last May and there was a couple behind us and their child had no seat. Yes this child had no seat. She was under the age of 3. She walked back and forth behind the seat putting the tray table up and down and banging and kicking the seat for 3 hours before I finally told the flight attendant. All they did was ask if the child was alright. The parents tried to tell us the little girl was tired of traveling. We politely told the parents we were tired also. They did nothing to restrain this child.

A Single Girl's Guide to Surviving the Holidays {Lemondrop}

Dec 16th 2010 10:03AM What is all this about Singles surviving the holidays? I have been single for 18 years and loving it. No more having to go to those dreaded family get togethers and having to be the "bad guy" on when we are leaving and if we are even going." Having to put on that "happy face" when we can't even stand each other or even the in laws.

Having the opportunity to make the decision to come and go as you please. To either join the party or stay home and relax peacefully in your own home. Life is good.

Esquire and I Nominate Some Brand New Bonds {Cinematical}

Jul 21st 2010 11:21AM I say Hugh Jackman, Jon Hamm, or Sam Worthington. I would first go with the one who has the English accent. Or, the one that most looks like the James Bond's we are use to. One of these three look like they would a perfect choice. Or, Keanu Reeve?

Jul 19th 2010 11:21AM Mel Gibson was born in New York and Cleveland is not a Crap Hole. I was just there. There is a lot to see and do in Cleveland. There are goo and bad parts to every city. I have seen them all over the world.

JCPenney's unsold American Living products going in the trash {WalletPop}

Jul 14th 2010 10:54AM Goes to show you these clothes aren't worth what we are paying for them if the stores can throw them in the dumpster. Take the labels out and donate them. I know stores like TJMAXX get a lot of designer clothes. Labels are still intact. Go see. They come from stores like this. I have seen Justice there, and Victoria's Secret just to name a couple. Shop at stores like that who send their clothes for resale. Like I said, we must be paying too much if they can throw designer clothes away. Atleast mark them down. Someone will buy them. That comment about people buy them and then return them to the store for a refund, it happens all the time even if they didn't buy them at the Goodwill. A lady brought a pair of shoes back to a store the other day and wanted a full refund and they had been worn for quite a while. She probably never paid for them in the first place. There is so much shop lifting going on. I know because a family member in retail told me. Leave the old clothes in the store and wear the new ones out. Cutting tags off and coming back later and trying to return something the store knows was stolen. stores don't do much of anything about it. Shame really. You would be surprised at who some of these people are. They have money.

Social Security and government payments go all-electronic {WalletPop}

Jun 15th 2010 8:09AM I am 63. My pay checks (at one time), and, now my pension and Social Security are paperless. Direct Deposit is the best and safest way to go. No more running to the bank and standing in line. My father didn't like it at the age of 80 when his went paperless. He said "I want control of my money." I told him all he had control of was standing in line at the bank. He got use to it.

I once found a little old ladies bank envelope full of her retirement money on the floor in a Dollar Store. Seems she had no account. Thank goodness I found it and she was still in the store and I could return it to her. She had to of lived during the depression.
