Aug 10th 2009 3:05PM We decided to go cable-free because of the ridiculous money they charge. We get free movies from the library (up to 20 at a time). Also play music, on the web, read books and magazines, video games or OUTSIDE!!!!! LOL If you ask me, TV is a way for parents to avoid spending time with their children. Granted, we all need time, but if you tell your children that you need time to yourself, I KNOW they will understand, so come to a middle road, talk it out, and they can find something to do for a while. I worry that our kids are losing their ability to use their imaginations. They seem to want constant entertainment. WELL>>>>>>> Since no cable, that is no longer our problem at home!

Jul 11th 2009 11:00AM In my first marriage, my husband was very possessive..didn't trust me to go the store, wouldn't let me have friends of my own, verbally abusive etc. etc. so I saved money for a year without him knowing (i deserve an acadamy award!! lol)got a lawyer, got an apartment, and handed him a summons to court. basically took the control away from him. best thing i ever did!!!! as it turned out, he was the one cheating on ME, the whole time. he didn't want me to go anywhere because i might talk to someone who knew he was cheating. be careful ladies!!!! keep your own counsel when it comes to men... if it makes you sad or fearful to be with someone, get out before it gets really bad!

Feb 19th 2009 7:48AM you're lucky... i was married to a guy shorter than me and he had the "napoleon" complex. he was very insecure about his height, and therefore became a tyrant!i couldn't wear high heels EVER, because he felt i was doing it on purpose to make him look smaller, which was crap! I just like heels! alot of things like that... so you guys out there should learn to love yourselves the way you are.. you can't change it!
