Feb 23rd 2011 12:58PM Personally, I could care less if Wal-Mart lives or dies. But you cannot blame Wal-Mart for our stuff being made in China. They sell the same stuff everyone else sells. Businesses have had no choice but to move most of their factories overseas since the unions all want huge pay increases. When the economy was booming they were getting 10-15% pay increases yearly. When people are out of work they still expect pay increases. Imagine how much that television would cost if it was made in a union factory. When you you bought something expensive it used to mean it was well made and was quality. Now it just means it was made here in America. American workers stopped making quality items 30 years ago. Unions used to be great. Now they are greedier than the businesses themselves.
Feb 7th 2011 8:13PM As a disabled vet of 15 years in the military, it was a shame that she messed up singing our National Anthem. But I'm am not going to blast her for it. The song is difficult to sing. And I'd bet that most of the idiots condemning Ms Aguilera for her mistake probably couldn't write down the words to the first verse (the part that is sung at sporting events) of the song anyway. I'm also sure that 90% of these critics don't realize that there are in fact 4 verses to the song. So here's an idea. Grow up, give her a break. She made a mistake. I think we are all guilty of that.
Jan 26th 2011 8:44PM Wow. Talk about hating on Pittsburgh. What, did the writer get an ass whooping by someone from steeltown? That's the only reason I can come up with to truly understand all this hatred towards Pittsburgh. And I'm from Minnesota.
Jan 16th 2011 3:46PM I have gone to Applebees before just for the Boneless Buffalo Wings.
Jan 11th 2011 12:48AM Really? You still believe that fable that's been running around the internet and Facebook for years. Good god, do a miniscule amount of research and you'll see it's a load of crap. LOL, charging for Facebook use. And next year, Obama wants to start charging to breathe the oxygen in the air too. Some people are so gullible.
Dec 29th 2010 12:08PM Lady T broke down color barriers like few others did. As a white man, growing up in Minneapolis, she was one of a few artists that started me listening to R&B in the late 70's. She was a true artist. RIP
Dec 19th 2010 10:01PM That's the guy who plays Victor on Y&R? I spoke to him on the phone once a few years back, when a certain then governor of Minnesota was in the hospital. We had specific instructions about phone calls for said governor. Mr Braden then proudly pronounced to me that "I am Victor, for the Young & the Restless, and I need to be forwarded to his room immediately!" NPH is right. The guy IS a d-bag.
Dec 19th 2010 9:54PM A little homo-phobic? So the guys gay, big deal. Never thought much about his acting abilities until this show. Whether he's gay or not shouldn't make a difference. Unless it makes you uncomfortable about your own masculinity.
Dec 17th 2010 11:48AM It's interesting how none of you have seen the evidence, just what has been written in columns like these, have already tried and convicted the accused. And here I thought we lived in the United States where people are supposed to innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, not the court of public opinion.
Dec 10th 2010 9:47AM I just making a statement. This is not hoping for it or wishing for it. It's just a statement.
She'll be in rehab by the time she's 21 and OD'd by the time she's 30. She's going to follow in the steps of Lindsey Lohan, who will also be dead of an overdose by 30. And Lohan isn't even 25 yet.
