Jul 8th 2009 11:10PM I'm so sick and tired of schools and communities attempting to censor our children's lifes, hide them from reality, hide them from everything bad in this world. That's just not the way it works with life. I think it's perfectly fine if that 7th-grader wants to wear that T-shirt. It's her opionion, which she is completely, legitimately entitled to. Maybe she understands abortion, maybe not. But it doesn't matter because nobody in the school she attends can judge or determine that. So they have nothing against her. Are we coming to a time where we are punishing children and teens for sharing their opinion? Is it against the law to express/wear your opinion openly? NO. Of course not. And you know what? They can't take her opinion from her. You know what else? I am 12 years old. Going into 7th grade. And that's MY opinion about the situation. And I think I just might make a shirt about it. Because I can.

Or is it just a common mistake that parents make, paying more attention to their oldest and youngest children and not as much attention to their middle child? Seriously AOL, get the picture! I swear you AOL guys that title these headlines do anything to get people to click on the article! This middle-child syndome is such an exaggeration.

Apr 8th 2009 9:26PM Okay, what has happened to America? Some one needs to have a good, long talk with this kid. The parent is responsible for their child. They control the punishments, and if the girl thinks the punishment is unreasonable, she can talk to her mother or father. What happened to the fact that the parents have the authority? This must be some bossy, bratty, drama queen, attention-striving kid. I can't even tell you how stupid this is. And the point of sueing is??? Well, she damages her relationship with her dad, and everyone who reads this thinks she is an idiot, all just so she is ungrounded for something she needs to be punished for. STUPID STUPID STUPID

Jan 27th 2009 5:25PM You are completely right... It wouldn't have happened in the first place if he wasn't drunk... I'm assuming he was drunk, considering he tripped over a phone cord (which, if he wasn't drunk, means he is a klutz) and he "happened" to have a bottle of whiskey beside him. Lame Lame Lame!!!!!
