Why did he marry? To fool the world? This guy will never be able to play golf again, his image is stained. Not just a little, a LOT! Mr Pretense is kaput, soon he'll start drinking and taking antidepressant and an array of legal and illegal drugs. Nasty, nasty WHORE...complains about the wife not making him happy at home. The wife smelled the rat long ago, that's why, but he always covered his ass. Get everything Elin, take his money ,at least that will repair some of the hurt and take the kids as far away from the scumbag as possible. And you, people, who think this is a private matter...it is not. The guy was up there, an example to those who looked up to him. He abused his power big time. It's time for men to stop lowering their pants in front of anything and anyone without having the slightest respect for their wives and children. Family is "everything" don't you know, you bunch of morons? But I guess, you'll have to lose everything to be able to appreciate what you once had. People never learn.

I just don't get it...and people like him preach to the world about corruption, about god, about integrity, honesty. The real evil resides on those who put up such a wonderful facade and we, the idiots, believe in them.
Horrible story. Horrible man. Cruel as they come. I can't imagine what his wife went through...why on earth she still stick by his side completely puzzles me. Maybe the story made her lose her mind.

Oct 14th 2009 11:01PM "Where the wild things are" was given as a present for the birth of my second born, Max. I didn't like the book and couldn't understand why it was a "must" to have ,since I was born and raised in Italy and had no clue how "cool" the book was. It gave me the creeps then and it still gives me the creeps now that Max is 18. The author's statement also is very arrogant and uncalled for given his age (81)...I bet he's gay , I thought, for only a gay person can be so nasty. And, guess what? he is. So, Mr. Maurice Sendak you can go to hell too!
