What It's Like to Be Gainfully Unemployed {Lemondrop}

Nov 14th 2008 1:52PM CJ,

Quit smoking is easy, stopping is the big challenge. After you get over the
physical addition (gum and lolipops, cinamon flavored toothpicks, or something to put in your mouth) works for the first two weeks, then you have to keep reminding yourself that if I quit today, I still have 10 years from the day I quit to be free and clear of getting lung cancer. Also, keep telling yourself that the smell of second hand cig. smoke is nasty. You will be able to spot a smoker 50 feet away just from the smell.

I smoked for 20 years in my radio and TV days, it is worst than any other addiction, because its so available and socially accepted. Not sexy kissing an ash tray either.

Good luck and all of us exsmokers are rooting for you!! Tell everyone you have stopped smoking and the pressure will remain when temptations arise. Also,
break your routine, and exercise. Food and everything else will taste delicious
now. Nice weekend to you.
