Sep 8th 2008 9:40AM ATT is former Cingular. The town where ATT customer service is located is in what one would term a small farm town where most do not graduate high school. It is extremely repressed before the real estate crash and bottom line I could not figure out why Cingular would even consider putting an office there, other then cheap labor.

Out phone bill under Cingular hit $3,000 twice. It took me months to convince them we did not owe this bill. Barbara who was the alleged manager could not spell MGM backward. Even implying my son did the following: Cut school, loaned his phone, lied about the calls, speaks spanish and I just don't know it...on and on she went. I finally pulled his school attendance records to prove he was in class all the times she accused him of cutting school. It was so frustrating dealing with someone so stupid and she was the manager.

All the calls were to non English speaking people. Some as far away as Florida, and lawyers office for green cards there. My son's bill jumped from $30 dollars a month for a year and then came the tidal wave of billing errors.

Finally, after exhausting most mental energy dealing with stupid people, I called into the Cingular investigation office for fraud. Within 2 minutes the guy figured it out: Billing error. By one digit. I was being billed for someone else's phone. Barbara, the Cingular manager was indignant telling me, they do not make mistakes as it is all computerized.

I dropped Cingular, went to T Mobile where gliches happen but at least they can think and problem solve. I would love to have an IPhone but my sons remind me about ATT being in Atwater, Ca I would still be dealing with people like Barbara!

Jun 26th 2007 11:35AM Culture is what attracts us right down to the very food we eat. Ever see what people eat in other parts of the world? Most in America would not touch it.

There can be a guy who by Hollywood standards is star handsome. In my book, if he doesn't have "element" I could care less what he looks like. Element comes from within, you either have or you don't. The guy from Law and Order C.I. Bobby, has element. You see it in his eyes.

Rock stars/super models they both live in a different world. Their days are our nights, etc. But, when all is said and done, people grow old, and no amount of money can stop one from dying if it is their time.

The Loud Family {News Bloggers}

Jun 22nd 2007 4:45AM Loud kids, teens who blast their music, or thump the base so loud it rattles the windows when they are at the stop light, BARKING DOGS (take the cake) What is up with people who let their dogs bark for HOURS. I mean 6 plus hours, on the other side of the fence.

We are surrounded by 8 dogs. Then there are the people who let their cats out, which starts the dogs barking ALL night long. Someone suggested buying an island, I wish I could.

People now days have no consideration or manners. They let their kids scream in stores, etc. Their dogs bark, their music blare, chain saws going off at 6:30 a.m. The ever popular working on the motorcycle at 7:00 a.m. for hours. I can see why people go postal when they do not get any sleep because of their neighbors.

Jun 18th 2007 5:22PM If I get someone "pushing" me faster then I am already speeding, I am not opposed to tapping my brakes. If I am going 70-75 with the flow, and there is no way I can move over or go faster, that is when I do it.

Semi trucks, I call 911. There is no reason for a semi to be in the fast lane, "pushing" cars to get out of its way. If there is an a phone number or company name, I call and report the driver.

If there is heavy traffic, and some guy wants to try and get ahead of us, and there is one car length between us and the car in front, but some jerk is impatient; we box him in. Meaning, if I catch sight of them barreling up the slow lane, to cut in front of us and there is a semi in front of him, he just doesn't want to wait his turn, we will speed up, and somehow all the cars behind do to, the guy winds up creeping behind the semi, and lost his place in line, and usually instead of being 10 cars back, he gets stuck at 30 or more. Yes, I am from California, and I am a polite driver. If I see someone is sitting forever and can't get in, I will slow down to let them, but they better not pull out and park. Geez, we hate that.

I cannot stand people who are hanging on their cell phone. They will not use their blinker, can't make up their mind, left or right. I just lay on my horn. IDIOTS, HANG UP & DRIVE would be a good sticker!

May 30th 2007 2:08PM Great! About time. I don't go to the movies anymore, because of rude, boorish people who eat like they are at a pig trough. Cell phone text msgs, and who brings a baby to the a movie anyways? Geez, and I get to pay for all this "entertainment". I am glad someone is taking action.

May 29th 2007 4:05PM Jimmy Carter was terrible as a president. I remember the inflation and how I could barely afford to eat. We lost all credibility in the world, and became WUSSES. Under Carter IRAN took our guys hostage. The very minute Reagan was sworn into office, they were freed.

I am a Christian and Carter is a Christian but it ends there. He certainly does not follow what he preaches and what he is to follow per the Bible.

May 15th 2007 10:57AM Dang...the man looks good for his age, and in his age group, he rocks. He defies the statement, "Can't teach an old dog new tricks!"

Go for the blue, Bob! More power to him, and whatever floats his boat. From the posts I am reading, we aren't even close yet to his age, but we will be one day, and you'll want to float your boat *wink*

Just because someone is "older" doesn't mean they need to curl up and wait to die. I plan on rocking it out, keep on learning, and oh yes, I LOVE the fact we can have the otpion of plastic surgery if we want it. I am in my 40s and my daughter loves it when we go shopping.

LIVE LIFE, don't live to die. Good grief that is what society and what a lot of you here have labeled older people; OLD. Which then in America means = useless. Puleaaassseeee. Limited thinking is, useless.

Thyroid may be causing too much sleep in some {That's Fit}

May 11th 2007 5:43PM It took 1 year for them to figure out what was wrong. The TSH test kept coming back low end of normal. I had so many symptoms yet because of getting older, I could chalk them up to that. Finally, when I would have to pull over and take a nap just to get home we did a fasting 24 hr TSH test and there it was. Now, even on the Levo I am low end of normal. Like a parked car, but not like before. I get bone cold, being 120 I literally freeze even bundled up. My husband is 290 and runs hot, what a couple we are.

I hear once you are hypo you must take the med for life.

Not feeling well, keep after your doc, and be proactive. Thats what I did and seems the food and caffine was enough to do a false reading on my thyroid.
